For my rally collection: Lancia 037, Toyota Celica (58129) body or whole car

There are four buggies on my list for my NIB collection, and I'll only buy them if Tamiya re-release them.  I'm not paying inflated dealer prices on eBay:

  • Bigwig
  • Dyna Storm
  • Super Astute

Body kit variants for kits I already have :

I love my G6-01 but sometimes wouldn’t mind having the Kong head body instead of the King Yellow . I also wouldn’t mind having a VW/Karmann Ghia or Porsche body for my m06.

For Buggies the BBX appeals to me, but I also wouldn’t mind a classic sand scorcher.
For pure weird fun Tamiya-ness: if the Kumonmon Holiday buggy weren’t so rare I’d give one. A go. I also hear the Mad Bull is brilliant in its simplicity.

The upcoming Manta Ray re-release is tempting, crazy bodyshell and I'd need bearings (bearings have always been on my want list!), but I like the chassis. I wouldn't mind a Terra Scorcher either, or maybe a Hotshot. The Mad Bull has been on my want list, but they're currently discontinued.

I briefly toyed with the idea of a BT-01, setup FWD with a Civic shell, but I'm not really impressed with what I've seen of it. I may end up buying a different on-road chassis and tossing the Civic shell onto it.

What Id really like to see is the Brat hard-body released on proper, modern 4wd chassis, something that could work as a trail truck. We need something that isn't yet another Jeep, Bronco, Toyota Jeep, Bronco, old Jeep, etc.

It's not a Tamiya, but I snoozed on the Kyosho Fantom EP 4WD (the first, non-CRC one) and gone it is ... Legendary series or not, I don't think it'll be another batch.

As for Tamiya, I don't ask for much: a slightly better priced Monster Beetle or Blackfoot - let's say at 150 euros rather than 200. Together with the relevant sprues so you could keep it alive without having to buy another one.

This goes for all of the re-res for me, either "fix" some of their shortcomings like the ORVs gearbox and offer more parts, or drop the price so we can afford the MIP diff and go drive them regularly.

Honestly, not much any more. Packing up all my stuff for the move got me excited about what I already have again, actually picking up every car and removing the wheels and bodies to fit them in containers made me remember what I like about each of them, and I'm really looking forward to unpacking it all at the other end.

Right now there are only two models that interest me: an Avante or Egress re-re, and the BBX. Eventually. For now, I'm happy.

now that tamiya has a new Fwd chassis, i hope they wil put some old bodys on it. I would love a peugeot 306 maxi, honda accord PIAA and a nissan primera calsonic.
And if tamiya would bring out the TA03F and FF01, that would be great.

I'd love a Bigwig too but there are other "dream" cars in front of it. If Tamiya ever repops a TA03 or a TA04 I'm there.

I'd also like a Blackfoot for some odd reason.

Tough one. I've got most of what I want. I missed out on the Dyna Storm and Dyna Blaster, so those maybe. Not sure. A Juggernaut 2 would certainly get me interested as well as a fresh King Cab. A Madcap would be nice.

If we got a true Wild Willy rerelease, I'd be all over that. Same with a real Holiday Buggy re-re.

I felt this same way before and after my move . And packed mine the same way .
Hettimg them unpacked on the other side had me Wanting to drive stuff I hadn’t had out in a while.

A couple for me this year:

1. Tankpool MB Actros Euro Truck for local truck racing series

2. Buggy - Very tempted with some of the big discounts on the Super Avante

Longer term:

1. Clodbuster

2. MB C11

3. Alfa Guilia Sprint (might do this as the shell kit on a different chassis)

I thought there was more, but a few have slipped down to “maybe” like the squash van and fiat 131

The only incomplete set that I would really like to complete in the short to medium term is my selection of WR/WT/G6/GF chassis, which I consider to be one big family of trucks that is only lacking a GF-02 to round it off.

Apart from wanting it to complete the set as it were, I also think it would make a fantastic base for a racing teapot in four-wheel steering configuration.

I'm no collector but in the unlikely event it comes out I probably would buy a Falcon just because I had one as a kid and so it's my tamiya history, and it could line up alongside my Super Falcon. I am also tempted to own an Egress (and/or possibly Avante) and if I did I doubt it'd get much running, so I guess that's a collection thing.

I don't do, collections, as such, but...

I would like (feels like I should be sitting on Santa's knee...😂

-Avante

-Bruiser

- Porsche 959

- Re re Brat (actually wanted a Brat, and Santa brought a Frog, but hated the gearbox & driveshafts, hoping the re re fixes that..ish)

(- none Tamiya , Raco JackRabbit..)

Trouble is, none of the original cars above (Brat I don't class as, original, although the only one on the lost likely to happen), are in my price bracket.

Having owned a fair few of my childhood wish list (Rough Rider, BigWig, Ninja , Maxxum ) they where rather underwhelming, having raced and got used to modern brushless buggies (the Ninja and the Maxxum I sold, as I didn't enjoy driving them, with the fear of breaking them, and not able to get parts, and the JackRabbit probably won't be as quick as my race buggies either..)
