Yeah, the CC version sold out so quickly on the AE website, but at least in Canada there's a lot of stock sitting around. Maybe because the shops got them so late all the hype had died down, and the reviews had come in about the issues with the PC parts cracking?

Funny how this is anticipated to be a very limited release but AE website are still accepting orders.

My order was 1900s and I haven't gotten a tracking number yet, but they did say my order had been shipped when I emailed earlier today about cancelling my order.

I emailed them Today (2nd of may)and they said they are shipping according to the day and time received, still no movement and I have one at 2500`s and another near 3000..

Lol changed my mind again.....I'm keeping my 40th rc10 order.

However I'm still getting the Kyosho Turbo Ultima I found for sale. He sent me the inside of the box picture and omg....I can't believe I'm getting an original turbo ultima.

This has been an excellent year for car collecting. I literally have just one, just one more car to find to complete my collection and end my expensive excessive spending.

And that is the very hard to find, Losi JRX-2

Same for me....Been looking for a new CR-V kit and Kyosho XJ220 kit for over 10 years and nailed both this year!

Going to keep spending on crawlers though:) And got a Launch Edition RC4WD TF3 for under 5 just the other month.

Supposedly my RC10 is on its way today. I'll for sure open, maybe build the sub assemblies, ie the gear box, shocks, and suspension arms. I'm going to search eBay for an OG gold chassis and nose piece with some road rash in order to preserve the 40th chassis as this will be used. Ahhh can't build anything! Well I can build the shocks. I e ordered ball bearing for it .

Looking forward to hearing your perspective on parts quality.  I know that was an issue on the last run.

The clear one I know has issues due to the material, I thought the 30th was gtg , and it was just the top shaft on the worlds which AW replaced???

But yes will give a quick here's what I think . Once everything I need to build it arrives I'll put in a build thread

Excellent, thanks! So, I was going back to the original Classic re- release. I heard complaints about the white parts having fitment issues, molding marks, etc. I don't know if any of that is accurate as I was never able to grab one back then.

But yes, the World's had several issues, especially with the gearbox case.

Yeah man, my first RC10! First AE anything, really. Digital download manual has me a little bummed, I guess I was expecting a nice printed manual.

^ Not sure on the Clear manual, I wasn't interested in ordering that one. I guess I need a motor, too. I wasn't prepared for this, this quickly! I do have some Camel Yellow paint which might look the part.

Recommendations for a cool vintage brushed motor are welcome, please!

Edit to add: I clicked on the manual link, and see this among some gingerbread BS: "The instruction manual will be in this
location when it becomes available."

Huh?!? The manual isn't ready? This is a joke, right? I hope I'm missing something, lol. Off to search . . .

Just received my 40th.  Chassis number 1214!  The chassis wont see use, Ill be using an older OG/Classic chassis for it. Whichever I can find.  Just ordered (3) HW Just Stock 10.5 combos. One for the DS, one for this, and one for the Team Car Build.

^ I'm thinking about getting an undertray from TBG

I just dont want to risk, IM going to drive it that way its supposed to, I dont want to bend it due to a crash etc.  Once all of these get built Im going to conduct a comparison between the Astsute and the 40th, the Team car and the DS. They will be driven!

Good point, I wasn't thinking of bending. For another 100 bucks you can also build it using all 3D printed parts from MCI Racing, but then you wouldn't even really need the new kit if you also sourced all the hardware bits

If you break an arm etc, easy to replace.  Replacing a serialized chassis for the 40th will be very expensive.  Im very happy I got a chassis under 1984.

Thanks for the links, but I'm thinking more like, what were the winning cars running in 1985, kinda vintage motors.

Well, you're probably already familiar with the stock blue label motor by AE - the motor that came with the OG kit.

AE team drivers would be running Reedy modified motors bitd.  Mike Reedy and Roger Curtis were allies.
