This is quite nice indeed.  I love the unique approach and wonder how it would handle a rough and tumble race environment.  Regardless, want one anyway

I have a tenth tech touring car and I want one of these or a 4wd version if they do one.

This is what the Td chassis should of been but made from tamiyas best plastic for the entry level kit.  Offer all the hop ups under the sun and then produce a "race" version with carbon chassis etc.  Would of been a winner in most basic form I would of thought.

I guess they need to discount it to offset the risk to buyers of a) it being around for a bit then disappearing along with parts support and b) it not being the car everyone else is driving so fewer set up sheets etc.

Lee Martin is involved (I think) so it probably won't be 'bad'. I like this kind of thing but I don't think it would be much 'fun' (unlike the TD4/2).

Agama are well established in 1/8th and have been around for a while

It's designed to compete with stuff like the Schue LD3 and Associated B7 etc. but it's about 20% more expensive.

Hardly surprising when they are starting from scratch and will be a selling at a far lower volume. The point wasn’t it’s discounted relative to  Schumacher or Associated’s price, more discounted to what you might expect to pay for the equivalent design, tooling and fabrication costs. I.e. it’s priced well, feels affordable, they coulda priced it far higher etc.

Nah - forged carbon looks nice, but it ain't all that when compared to machined aluminium or proper CF. It's different and it's undoubtedly cool though!

I actually don't mind it... but then again I don't hate the TD4 either, so maybe I'm just defective.
