Oaah ... that's a bit too much for me, sadly. In that context, the 870c has come down a bit in price (400 euros). Maybe this one will too, eventually.

I definitely see this one being discounted in the stores so yeah, hang tight.

Wish Kyosho would see this and put out the Gallop with chain too

I can’t decide if they’ll go backwards or forwards in time with their next Re-Re. The Gallop would make a lot of sense for novelty and paring with these old Yokomo buggies like you’re thinking plus anything else that may briefly spring up (RC10 4WD conversion anybody?). I guess it’s slightly less likely due to fewer parts carryover from what they’ve already tooled, though who knows maybe the gallop drawings and jigs are sitting somewhere in a Kyosho Warehouse. Heh.

We’ll, I think that after seeing these Yokomos gain traction with their crazy pricing, I’ll hold interest for a Works once they swap up the 870c parts for the updates that went into it. It feels like a really big first refined Yokomo design to me, so that’s worth a dollar. You’ve gotta love these old weird designs, tho, and see which corners where the hobby grew out of—trends tried then abandoned or updated, etc. so fun to experience. 😎

Honestly?
I wish Kyosho, AE and Yokomo would take a break and give us all a break here.
I mean - the amount of reissues, tribute cars and anniversary specials that have been thrown at us in the last few weeks is unprecedented. I have no idea whether I should buy an RC10, a Yok or a Kyosho 60th kit. I only know one thing - there's no way I can afford all of them together.
So please let us all take a deep breath first.

I hear ya. I’m tapped out and want all of them as well. I suppose the bombardment co es as AE for one gets on its footing and Yokomo seems to be taking the carpet bombing approach since they’re a bit behind on the scene. Hopefully gear will be in stock for a good while, then no pressure for the building pace.

It's up for preorder at Tamico now, for 480 euros, as a "limited edition".

The online manual was published in the last few days.  Doesn’t look like much of a paper manual unfortunately.

Yeah, I was bummed to see that it is preassembled, though this is how it was originally.  I have to say that the box presentation is absolutely fantastic, especially for a prebuilt.

Yeah that’s what made me put the brakes on buying one because it 95% built and I want to build it myself😟 in saying that I might still get one if they are still available around Christmas time! I understand that they are limited? Can’t remember where I actually heard it so if I miss it so be it 🤷‍♂️

I hope not too limited.  Well, at least I hope spares are made available.  Worth noting that there is a bit of disassembly necessary to mount the motor so there is some building necessary 😉.  Unfortunately for me they left the parts I hate, gluing tires and painting bodies.

I want one but I don't. 😆 I wonder why they preassembled it? It doesn't add any value.

I agree.  Really wish it wasn’t preassembled.  Though it looks like a fair bit of dissection is necessary to fill the shocks and add the motor so some disassembly is required!

The pre-assembly is (as far as I understand it) because the original release was partly assembled.

I really like it in many ways, but i can see what a forward move the 870c was/is.

Although it comes pre-assembled (Yokomo state they did this to mimic how it was originally sold) there is some disassembly required to fit the motor and electronics. I ended up taking the gearbox apart out of curiosity. I would have liked to build the entire kit myself, but understand why Yokomo went in the direction they did. That said, over here the retail price is exactly the same as the superior 870c. Overall I feel that buggy is better value for money. The 834B sure does look cool though and I look forward to running it.

Good to see more of the 843b, @Kai City RC. An honest review, from my perspective. What about flex in the chassis plate? I've seen videos of original ones (I linked to one japanese channel earlier in the thread) and it seemed quite flexible. Maybe they've changed materials for the new release, who knows?

I really like the green - looks really good!

Without the chain guide/front brace and battery tray installed there is a whole lot of flex in the chassis. However, with it in place, it's surprisingly sturdy! What little flex remains isn't anything to worry about. I've not got an original to compare it with, so can't say for sure if they've changed the specifications. Overall the buggy seems sturdy enough, despite being mostly plastic. I think the weak point will be the steering. The thin wire joining the steering bell cranks together tends to bend on hard crashes - I've bent the one in my 870c twice now!

Thanks for watching. Your support is very much appreciated. 😊
