Any other TRF-based buggy chassis' other than the Dyna Storm and DB-01?

As the title says really - were there are other mass produced Tamiya chassis' based on TRF models other than the Dyna Storm and DB-01?

Sure- There was the 501, followed by the 511 as well as their 2WD Variants 201, 211 if i'm not mistaking Maybe there were some more i cannot remember at the moment

Sorry if I wasn't clear, I meant mainstream buggy kits not the actual TRF variants 

I believe the Dyna Storm was born out of the original 2WD TRF211X and the Durga/Baldre the later 4WD TRF501X.

Wasn't the DN01 the plastic version of the TRF201?

No idea if the DB02 was related to a TRF model. Its a shame as it works so well in onroad having both levels of car which are very similar.

I think you might be right, the Zahhak does look like a version of the TRF201 as one version came with a Zahhak pack. Cheers!

I don’t think there is any other offroad vehicles, obviously there is the on roads TA0x vs trf4xx and TB0x vs TB Evo x

DF-01 / Manta Ray / Top Force were mass produced versions of a TRF prototype.

@Howards: Are you sure you meant the DF-01?

The only TRF 4WD prototype I know is the TRF 411X which used a (rotated/modfied) TRF211X/Dyna Storm gearbox with a belt transmission to the front gearbox.

There's discussion of it on this forum. Also includes the 411 and the kind-of consumerized version of it that never was. 

But: Egress -> JB's TRF modified Egress -> DF-01 / Manta Ray. Guess you could split hairs about whether this is 'pre-trf'/.

JB’s Egress was IMO a mix of an Egress (chassis) and suspension parts which were prototype/pre-series parts of the DF-01 chassis.

I wouldn‘t call this TRF-predecessor 😊
