Traderoom Feed

Is there any news on an update to the RSS feed for the trade room? I expect it works for most people, but I'm using a mac, and my newsreader complains that it's not a valid feed.

Running it through a validator, shows a couple of errors:

Does this mean Tamiyaclub has an RSS feed for the main home page??

I tried adding it to my homepage but cannot find it??

Hmmm - can't seem to make it display the uRL properly.

The feed is:

www.tamiyaclub.com/trades.rss

Cant get mine to add it. Shows the content preview ok. But when add to homepage, I get nothing..

Hmmm - probably the same sort of problem I'm getting. Have you tried another reader?

Just tried another reader. Has errors as yours, through validator.

Works fine for me on my Mac, using NetNewsWireLite, the main free RSS feed reader on the Mac... been using it for some time now...

Yeh - I've just tried that myself. Works fine with NewFire too. Trouble is my reader of choice 'Feed' doesn't like it...

Maybe I should swap.

don't really know much about the readers out there I'm afraid. If the big boys say its invalid it probably is. My guess is its a temporary thing based on a particular trade that in there are th emoment throwing the formatting out.

I'll take a look, but its probably clear itself before i fix it (we can live in hope)

Hi Chris - it's been like it from the start. There *is* an error in one of the trades, but I think the main thing it complains about is that it is served as 'text/html' which apparently isn't right...

ok will add it to the list - strange though because someone pointed that validator site out very early on so i had been testing against it with the all clear last time I checked?

Well I don't know if you've done anything yet Chris, but I just deleted the feed and recreated it and now it seems to be working. It still has one warning in the validator, but it seems happy nonetheless...

again that points back to something in the actual trade data that throws the system occasionally.

Still a bug as my code should spot it before serving it up.
