Futaba FXT (Stadium Thunder / Stadium Blitzer)

Hi,

I was lucky and came across a chassis for the Futaba FXT trophy truck. It finally arrived today. The chassis looks to be in good condition, the body needs to be replaced with a proper period correct body and decals.

I have a stadium Plumber and compared the chassis. It’s interesting to see that they’ve changed from a plastic tub to aluminum tub, with the battery going in the north south orientation.  The damper towers on both front and rear are both fiberglass, including the battery holder.  From research online, the Danvers are typical CVA, but in my case, the past owner had upgraded to aluminum gold finish dampers.  

The rims are unique classics 8 hole rims, but the same size as the Stadium Thunder.   The tires are the same size as Stadium thunder for both front and rear, but in my car, the rear tires were replaced with another brand.  

My next step is to clean up the car and take about the gearbox to check the internals. I will also order a new body from Team Blue Groove new decals from MCI racing.
