Returns with RCMart?

Recommended Posts

Has anyone ever made a return with RCMart for a defective item? Any tips on how to do that and how to get my money back without having to pay any return shipping etc? Thanks!

I've done it a couple of times, their customer service are really helpful and walk you through it.

They usually ask for proof, eg a video, then will ask you to send it back. I've always had to pay postage which is annoying, but they have always replaced faulty products. One was faulty out of the box, but the other I was worried about as it was an ESC which lasted half a race meet and I had had it for a couple of months. I had also soldered it myself, so a lot coukd have gone wrong, but they replaced it witgout question

Over the years I'm well ahead by buying from them, even with paying return postage. Also, the returns have been faulty goods from the manufacturer and nothing to do with RCMart (eg their packaging etc) as well.

Thanks, that is helpful. Just to clarify, once they agree that they sold you a faulty product, do they refund the shipping you paid to send it back to them?

No they don't, its in their T&Cs that buyer pays return shipping. Not sure if that would hold up in most jurisdictions but for the amount of money involved its not practical to challenge it

Ok, I got a bad receiver from them (around 50$) and I think it would cost over 30$ to ship to HK from the US. However I am absolutely terrible at finding the best shipping service and it was over 3 years ago that I got that 30$+ quote to return a servo via USPS. I will shop around to see if I might get a cheaper option for shipping it back.

Thanks again!
