Futaba MC971CR ESC Switch question

Recommended Posts

Hi,

This is the first time I purchase a non Tamiya ESC.

The ESC does not have any connector for switches but with a small switch button on the ESC itself.

I've yet to install it, but the thought of pita of having to open the car body to turn on the car

My first thought was to serial a switch to the battery, then it may not work as I may still have to press the switch on the ESC:(

Next though is to open up the ESC the solder another push button switch parallel to the one on the ESC.

Any advise please...

I do not have solution for your problem, but... you should disconnect battery immediately after run. In that case, no switch does not sound like an big issue.

The best way with such ESCs are to try and mount it in such a way that you can reach a finger in to switch on and off.
