Does anyone have a solution for TT02 metal diff gears? I have the GPM set but they don’t fit in the oil filled style diff case. Plus there’s a difference in 3 spider gears verses 4 stock. Thanks

Yes :) it's called a TT-01 diff. It fits the TT-02 perfectly. You need to buy the diff case and the gears separately. The 02 outdrives are direct fit as well. I can help with part numbers if needed.

What are the part numbers? I want to do this upgrade to my TT02.

gears are 51008

I actually typed 51008 in and guess I overwrote it when I pasted the picture link! 🙄

Curious, but why metal? Do the plastic ones break? I'd have though the plastic would be lighter and less rotating mass, i.e. more efficient overall.

I have never managed to break a plastic one. But I read here in the forum about someone who did, when jumping with a TT-02 rally so it can happen.

I've worn out a bunch of them in the TT02B, but just the ring gear so you get the clicking until they just dont work anymore. Never the spider gears though, and I really can't see that being a problem unless you go to some crazy 4.5T motor.

You are also right on your second point. I have DF02 metal gears (same as TT01?) for the TT02B and with the stock motor they noticably slow it down. I now use stock gears for kit motors, but would swap in the metal ones for 13.5T motors, but any brushless probably, they have so much more torque.

If you buy the DF02 metal parts bag you get all the gears and some other parts like a 19T pinion and I think the wrench!. Then just get the diff cases and you have 2 complete diffs
