Has anyone tried these HPI Pirelli knock offs from Absima? I have until now found the hard Tamiya Rally Blocks brilliant for driving in rally style on hard surface. They have predictable grip, are easy slidable and give good control while sliding. After having watched the eminent YT Chanel of Dario RC Garage I have seen that he is mostly running HPI Pirelli in such conditions. They are mostly always sold out,  so then an alternative could be nice while waiting for them to come back in stock.

I have already got two sets of MST rally tyres (like I know Nicadraus is running), so I should in all honesty have enough for a while ^_^

They are just rebadged (as most Absima products are) Aliexpress tyres. I had just ordered a set 2 days ago so have not arrived yet.

expect my MST tyres to be good for fun driving on tarmac

MST are great in tarmac, at least the MTC ones I had experience with. Only problem I have with them is they are a bit too big for MTC. Touring ones should be fine.

For rally, one that I am planning to get to try is the LC Racing L6266.

Red tyres? Crazy talk. There are other websites for this kind of, er, special interest, you know.

We'll find out about the MST tyres soon. Temps are falling here now and the Ride slicks I normally use on tarmac is no good in lower temps.

The LC Racing wheels are looking like an exact copy of the Tamiya 54851.

I really like these cheap Pirelli style tyres. Running them with my XV01 and XV02. They are more durable than I expected. And good looking too. 🙂

Do you get these tyres as tyres only? I would like to run the Tamiya Rally dish wheels with 2mm offset.

The first two sets I bought at Racers Paradise: https://racersparadise.de/RC-CAR-1-10-RALLY-P-BLOCK-REIFEN-26mm-2ST-WEICH-MIT-EINLAGE-F-TAMIYA-20299

When the tyres were temporarily unavailable there, I bought them at Kayhobbies: https://kayhobbies.at/shop/de/REIFEN-FELGEN/1-10-ONROAD--DRIFT/1-10-rally-reifen/1-10-rally-reifen-4-stueck-pirelli-design.html

Don't know if they ship abroad.

So the "special interest" tyres from Aliexpress arrived.

Not very round....

Compared to some equally fake Tamiya rally blocks and the Boom Racing wheels they are going on.

Turn them around.

They only need to be round at the bottom. It's the only bit that touches the ground.

I followed your lead the other day and ordered some myself, although I went for pre-glued and a rather prudish black.
