Ok, I love this buggy! But maybe not for the reasons you all know of.

A month ago I broke my collar bone in a really bad way during a mountain bike fall; had a long surgery (I’ll spare you all the heavy metal x-rays) and have since been going through some very painful re-education. When the therapist tells you to take pain killers before your sessions, you kind of know what you’re in for. So, this buggy has become a source of zen from all of that pain. I have a gravel road just adjacent to my home and between rain showers (and painful exercises), I go over there and forget about the pain for about 40 minutes (2 batteries) or so.  Luckily the sling is on my right arm so minor wrist flicks are all that’s needed to turn the car. Yes, it’s true, I’m quite proud of it because I literally built and painted this buggy with one arm, knees and some teeth during my medical detention at home. So forgive the ill places stickers here and there.

When you see it, that’s the story behind this buggy.

Peace be to you all.

First of all, get well soon. Secondly,  that's a cracking job.

I appreciate that. I did my best but I’ve had a lot of time. Especially taping the body.

Some projects take months, even years, my friend. You've done rather well considering you only had the use of one arm.

I also did the hers version. Yet to be used but kept me busy. Et voila. The story behind these two buggies. Got me back into RC after I gave up putting 600€ holes in the ground.

I've already mentioned that I like the colour of the green one ... but both of them are even better now when I know how all got done (teeth and all). :D

Get well soon.

Love the boats too, by the way.

Feel the sun!

I love getting out of the house on these intermittent nice days. Ironically, the local ice cream truck passed and waved as I pulled to the side. I thought, should I build a 4x4 ice cream truck? You read it here! :D

Neo Fighter is an all-out thrasher. So far, I love it!  Although, I’m going to need a new wing soon. Just my driving style trying to thread the potholes in the road.

Funnily enough, we built a DT-03 ice cream van!

These are the Carson 500900134 tire set.

How are they? Are they a soft enough compound for reasonable grip?

They’re not really all that grippy but I have some Louise Rockets coming.
The Carsons are fun to drift with though. They’re actually teaching me throttle management.

I like the rear end clearance on the truck. I have the impression my Fighter sits too low.

Hey thanks. I'd seen those Louise tyres. I might try them.

On the DT-03, have you got stock rear springs? Most people find them a bit soft I think. IIRC, set 9400414 (which is piston rods, seals and springs and is very useful for the DT-03 if you want to do things like changing pistons, which is classically a thing people want to do on them, and the set is cheap) includes some rear springs which are a stiffer option. Search for chats on that set to check re those springs though, in case I've remembered wrong.
