upgraded shocks on SRBs

Do upgraded conventional oil-filled coil over shocks make a significant improvement to the SRBs handling?

Maybe. If you go that route, you will need to have a zip tie around the upper and lower control arms to hold them in their sockets.

Thank you. Yes, I bought that ball joint concern up in my SRB front suspension shock upgrade topic from '22, which I see has returned to this top forum page recently. I should have opened my eyes a little wider and probably added this question to that topic, lol. Sorry.

I put RC Channel coil overs on my SS and I think it handles nicely and better still the shocks don’t leak.

From memory the paper clip style front springs and the rear torsion bar were removed.

The front suspension arms and knuckles on the re-re SRB's is better and beefier. If you are going to go convert to coil over shocks and make the car a runner, swapping the vintage suspension components out and using the modern parts would be beneficial with the added durability.
