How did I end up with so many lipo batteries?

I get that I collected things over the years, but I'm scratching my head on this one. Why did I feel the need to keep all of these. The shorty and oval packs make sense, but I feel this is too much now and I have two more that are not in the pictures. The old Venom packs were always used in crawlers. The one Power Hobby 3s I won in a raffle. I don't need all of these, I think it's time to thin the herd.

It's not hard at all ending ip with a load of batteries. In the beginning you don't want to grind the battery compartment,  so you get round packs. You get a round 2S pack with Deans connector hole in the end for an M-05, but you get sick and tired of the loose connection between the battery and the drive cable. After a while you find out you prefer bullet connectors,  so you end up using shorty or square packs and grind the battery compartments accordingly - which should have been done in the first place. 

 

Then you get an M-08 and find out It's cheaper to get a square pack for it instead of sourcing 3D printed bits to run the shorties you already have. Another battery added.

 

Knowing what I know now 2 shorties and one square pack would have been enough for me, if I just had modified the battery compartments to fit from day one.

The shorties work in so many applications, and using a bit of foam, they work great in my Hornets and Grasshoppers, which is all they run now so I bought more lol.

That was exactly what I found out as well.

 

I like that heavy Ampro'ed hopper. That route was my plan, until I stopped spenning more on it and got a Tomahawk instead.

Ok, I'm not gonna run these old SRB's anytime soon, lol. I do have two re-re SRB's though, so the shorty packs have become even more useful.

I ended up with more lipo than I need because I cannot normally get lipo where I am, posted or in the shops. So whenever someone visits or I go travelling, I will get some.

I've various packs, for various cars.

2 cars still run saddles (could do with doing shorty conversions, but I've got the saddle lipos atm, but new ones aren't easy to come by).

My race cars take shortys, but generally get a few new ones at the start of a race season, (the new liHv are 5mm, so had to swap to stepped plugs on the cars...) 

The 3s are for the bashers, and speed runs, as everything's better with 3s 😁

A few of the 3s, where real cheap off eBay ,when there was that big sell off (less than £5 each if I remember right), so kind of wishing I'd got more than 2..

And a couple of 2s, for the likes of the Lunchbox , Bullhead (now it's got 15t firebolts, was 3s with silvercans), and re re Ultima.

The super shorty are for my modified original Ultima build (RB5 gearbox etc, in the build thread somewhere, but didn't pay the photobucket ransom, so..😔) 

All the stick packs are getting on a bit ,I think the hardcase 3s was my first lipo, and that's probably 12yrs old now!!! 😳.

Should probably at least check them all for storage charge this year? 

All in lipo charge bags, in seal removed ammo boxes, except my race packs, which are in a lipo bag, in a batsafe.
