Hi,

I have two cars, XV-01 and TT-02 and only set set of TRF shocks.

I started to think, in which car I will get more benefits using them.

My initial idea was to use them in TT-02, however, yesterday I realised that XV-01 suspension moves much more, so maybe TRF shocks will be better.

What do you think? TT-02 is used on rather flat asphalt, XV-01 mainly on pavement but on asphalt too.

I have only two cars and run them equally.

Then I would fit the shocks to the XV-01, as it gets used on different terrains and it was the more expensive kit.

I like this line a lot ⬆️👏

When I have eventually caught up with the Tamiya backlog I have created I’ll enjoy building a road car kit and running it as well.

very expensive

All the more reason to get them for the expensive TT-02 build you are doing right now.

Tell me, because it is not first time: what is the reason that you write things like this?

I asked for advice from users, I do not need comments like this.

I can only remind you, that it the past you asked about something and some users, indluding me, wanted to help you recommending bit different solution. You were annoyed, that someone tried to help in a different way than you asked.

Sorry if it came across the wrong way but I thought you wanted to make a very high end more expensive than usual TT-02 build. TRF shocks are, as you said, expensive and will help you achieve that goal. I remember you also saying you want it to be more expensive than most users, since most users will only use CVA on their TT, I was suggesting you go higher than them.

So sorry again, seems like I misunderstood your definition of "unnecessarily expensive" with the TT-02 build.

Option 1: ^^ This ^^

Option 2: Put them on the car that has it's suspension 'tested' the most.

If the XV gets the TRF shocks then you will have to change the title of the TT-02 thread in the build section ;)

Seriously the TRF's (and any dampers with screw on collars) allow you to tune the ride height very precisely. It's nice to be at 5.5mm both front and rear. But on the XV you probably won't be able to tell if you're at 19 or 20mm anyway.

It's off-topic, but I dare to ask what happened to your DT02 Sand Viper? Didn't like it?

It was most disappointing experience I ever had with RCs. Well, maybe Sanwa Radio issues were worse.

It was not fast at all and handling was rather bad. I did not have fun even for a minutes.

I ran it a bit offroad and unfortunately, damaged body and wing. Then I disassembled it to clean and left for a while.

I will rebuild it soon but I am not sure if I will run it on asphalt, off road and do not care or just sell.

Sorry to hear that. Thanks for the reply anyway.
