Don't want to sound like a old nagging guy,

but, what is the point of placing models

in your showroom that you don't have ?

(for example, take a look at the rerelease frog)

Or is it only me who thinks it is odd ?

You don't understand the power of the dark side[xx(]

If I go and meet with some friends, and take some great pictures of their cars, why shouldn't I enter them as "action photos" so I can share the great pics and cars with other TC members? Even though I don't have those cars.

I don't find this odd at all.

EDIT: Er.. on re-reading the original post I think I don't have a clue what you meant...

(I still don't!)

yes, the dark side is tempting :D

<mha ha ha>

actually, i tried to delete my first post but the X is gone, as

there have been reply's already.

<never mind>

The long story ;) :

I was looking for "kitbox photo's" from the re-re frog ,

Only one way to see, got to the "cars" section

....great, some guys already have them !!

- after seeing them "ow they only have them on order and hoping to get them soon"

- mmhhh, those are only pics from tamiya ect ...

so that got me going a bit, resulting in my post.

Wasn't refering to action photo's , or misc "car of mate of mine" photo's at all,

but, you already undestood that already ;)

Ah ok, I'm with you now :D

The "I'm hoping to get one of these when my LHS has them and I have some money and they've been re-released but only if they don't release another car before hand in which I will get one of those first" type showroom entries... ;)

Yeah. Annoying...

I understood, and wondered the same. I think I saw one saying that it hadn't even been ordered, but would when available to order.

Some extracts from the club rules

Do not post pictures of cars you would like to have, cars that you had when you were a kid but don't now or basically anything that you do not own unless it is classed as Extra Infoid="blue">

If only they would put them there we would know to ignore them.

You must own the copyright of the pictures you post, or at least put a clear credit to where the picture originally came from. Better still don't post the picture just post a link to its original place.id="blue">

Hard to own the copyright of any pictures you haven't taken yourself.

Putting pictures of cars you don't have can have a purpose, but the whole point of the showroom is as a showroom - to show your collection.

I posted my new Frog because :

1. I already bought the thing- stupid 'marketing' prevents me from having it actually in my possession..

2. I posted it as extra info because I thought others might enjoy seeing the nice detail shots provided by Tamiya.

If this is a unforgivable violation of the rules, I will simply delete it.

-As for being first: You're not first until you build it .. NIB doesn't count! :D

I am clear on the rules, Terry. My apologies. If it is inappropriate, I will delete it as promised. (So far no one has contacted me directly so I thought it was OK.) [:I]

You did fit in with the rules as you posted it in the Extra Info section. The annoying thing is when people post pictures of a Frog they don't own in the under the Frog model number.

The rule about copyright is the awkward one though.

I think we were probably commenting about a NIB version that was shown back in October, even though the Kit wasn't released until months later!

Yeah, I see that. My guilty conscience got the better of me.

I took them down for now - but I'll have some pictures of the new build soon enough[;)]

OCD, was not attacking you, just to be clear on that ;)

reason no direct contact, 1) i am not a mod

2) looking "a hour after posting", i intended to delete the posting

Call it a bad day at work.. heck, yes, i -stand- with my opinion, but did not want to

create trouble or a " you can't do that noughty boy" topic.

Btw, the "real" nib kits who are pouring in right now at the club showroom looks

the buisness! can't wait until the postman delivers mine

(or the dude next door gives them to me, as most of my parcels automatic gets delivered there LOL)

But, that might take some days as he usually drunk at the time i get home.

No joking, he is actually a real nice old guy but ... likes his liquer to much!

(and in the process forgetting all about delivered mail, eating, showering... ect)

:D
