@svenb I had OZ wheel decals made when I did my Yaris recce car if you fancy a decal sheet for this build 👍🏻

The XV02(s) are awesome to drive. They look the part on the shelf too 😃

I'm in two minds whether to use the spoked wheels Tamiya used or the rally dish type🤔

Made a start

My eyes aren't as good as they were, they get quite sore concentrating. Maybe a long build!

I hate building gear diffs especially the oil filled type, I like ball diffs and usually replace gear diffs for them but not this time.

Was hoping to use the metal bevel gear hop up 54428 with the metal cross shafts but the gear's are a different size. Only the shafts could be used.

I know that feeling. However, I really enjoyed my XV-02 build. Looking forward to seeing yours finished.

Thanks mate

Thoroughly enjoy your builds. I have a couple more chassis's to do after this but doubtful I'll do another build thread. Find it a bit 'time consuming'🤔

Fancy pants suspension mounts. Pity they are under the chassis, which is a first for me

What happened? 🧐 I have built a few of these diffs so far (they are compatible with the TT-02...) and while they are not a 2min job I agree, they are actually a significant improvement over older designs. In particular Tamiya designed a small recess in the case so we can comfortably insert the pin into the outdrive.

And I must say, your car is looking incredible with all this blue!

Thanks

The recess is a great addition and my sausage fingers can just about manage, what I can't manage is stopping them leak😳
