What will you do with it? It's such a great chassis to drive.

Probably sit on the shelf

My enjoyment comes from the build and especially the hunt for rare hop ups, not something I've had much trouble with this chassis.

I do have a couple of runners which aren't runners at the moment, a group C and a TA06.

Nice body choice 👍🏻

I was considering the Escort for mine but missed out on a couple of the body only as the post holes aren’t pre-drilled so went a Scooby instead.

Funny you should say that

This body sold as a spare from TTP has no dimple marks for the post holes, first Tamiya body I've ever had like it.

I can't remember that 😕

There's plenty on eBay, I wanted one without any holes and a lot for sale have come from kits so pre-drilled

Do I sense a Ford thing with you, or is it just my imagination? I've come to really enjoy that Escort body. A bit of a sleeper. Looks much better in real life than in the product photos (at least the Tamiya ones).

Ford all the way for me😉

I got hold of a  new old stock Valvoline decal sheet for it a year back. The standard white body doe looks a bit plain.

About 25 years ago I was in Tenerife and saw a Escort WRC road car in white. I'm pretty sure there weren't any road cars made so this one must have been a Escort Cosworth with the WRC body kit, it did look ace though.

It does irritate me that the tamiya paints never really match up!

That looks like a nice paint job. Be good to see it when it's all finished.

You should be. Looks like a lot of work went in to it.

Just looking at the width of the chassis it doesn't give me the right amount of wheel to arch fulfillment! Obviously if it's being used then not a problem. I what to fill the arches out a bit and thicker wheel hex's won't be enough.

I think I've got the widest suspension mounts fitted and with the small black plastic blocks furthest outwards and still not wide enough 🤔

Anyone with an idea to what suspension mounts/blocks I can use to stretch it a bit more?

Would probably need longer shafts too, maybe 39 or 42mm!!

Sounds like you need HPI wheels! ;)

Just kidding, I know you are going all Tamiya so the only way would be to use long universals from the WR-02 hop-up and then transfer your 37mm swing shafts onto the long axles.

Sweet Escort 👍🏻

I’m thinking the 2nd photo look the best with the OZ Wheels.

I thought the wheel track was the same as a TT02, but I used MST wheels which are adjustable on my XV so I didn’t have any issues.
