"Year of the Snake" RCs?

Recommended Posts

Taking a look over at Tamiyablog, I see that Tamiya have released some Mini 4WD models with a cute little snake driver figure to celebrate the Year of the Snake.

Do you reckon that we will see some 1/10 RC models with this figure included, along the lines of the Kumamon buggy and tractor?

Which model(s) do you think would suit such a driver?

Probably not the answer you were looking for, but I immediately had to think of this.

Great. One to add to this year's one which I recently got.

Will pick that up at Tamiya HK when I also pick this up.

Cool concept for kids, pity about the totally inappropriate name. Pythons are constrictor snakes, do not have the ability to hood up or spray venom, and most of them don't even have fangs. But I suppose the name Spitting Cobra has been used by many others and they wanted something different. 🤔

That, or their primary market wasn't snake nerds... 🐍

I don't know, but if they come out with a buggy called the Danger Noodle, I'm totally buying it, even if it's another DT02 rehash...

Who knows? With its looong slender chassis, they might even base it on a DT-03 this time!

I think a Re-re BullHead would be totally appropriate. They could even change the US flag for a snake flag.

Not that I have anything against the US flag, as long as there's a BullHead just beneath.

Who on Earth doesn't need a BullHead with a snake on its flag. I really wonder.

Great idea! They could even name it the Bullsnake, after the large American colubrid. 🐍

I was hoping that "year of the snake" would mean somebody making a Shelby Cobra RC! Other than the "my first" Mini-Z of course.

Been thinking real hard that my from-me-to-me X-mas present this year was going to be a Clod, now I can't get the image of a "No Step On Snek" Bullhead out of my head. TY for that ;)
