Which Tamiya PS Spray Paint Matches Bigfoot Blue Close Enough?

I'm thinking about getting the Louisville Bigfoot 4 body from J Concepts for my 2nd Clodbuster. I just cannot figure out what shade of blue to use, it's hard to tell depending on the lighting. Any ideas?

to me it looks like PS-4 blue or PS-16 metallic would be a closest. i cant tell from the photo whether it is a metallic color or not though.

I believe it's metallic... I think.

So maybe PS-16 is the closest?

i guess so. you could experiment with backing colors (dark vs light) to see what is the closest, because backing color does matter too.

I generally use PS-16 or Duratrax Metallic Blue backed in black for my Bigfoot bodies.  Three coats of blue to 2 coats of black.

It took quite a while to get that club going near me.  For a long time there was nowhere to run MTs.

So PS-16 first, followed by PS-5 to darken it a bit is the general recipe for success in this case?

I also went with the Bigfoot 4 body and I am really excited about the quality. Will be the runner body and I have to be careful to not make it tol perfect to run it, otherwise I have to get another body to save the runner body. 😅

I picked up a completely finished Traxxas BIGFOOT body to use as a runner for one of the Clods. I figured I spent zero time on it so I can't be attached to it LOL

I did a '70 mustang body a while back in PS-16 backed by PS-23 Gun Metal and love it. To my eye (or rather my memory's eye) it's about as close to Ford's Guardsman Blue (think most blue Cobras you've seen; the blue stripes on a white GT 350) as one could get and that blue has about as much Ford racing history as one could ask for. Backing it with silver would give you lighter highlights, gun metal or black will darken it up a bit. I like to back metallic with metallic just because- dunno how much difference it makes, but I feel better.

I did that for my dagger project, I call it Bigfoot Dagger.

It even uses the clipless system.
