Old_Corny 315 Posted November 4 I'm going to re-build the dampers on my TT-02, and have bought some Core-RC 350 cSt (silicone) oil for the job. My question is regarding the Tamiya damper oil that came with the kit - is it silicone? I don't intend to mix the oils anyway, but how best to remove ALL the oil in there currently? Twinfan 2013 Posted November 4 Standard Tamiya soft oil is silicone 400cst. I'd just tip it all out and add the new stuff. That's what I did with my Top Force recently anyway!
Rinskie 1024 Posted November 4 Oil changes are as simple as removing the shock cap, turning it upside down and cycle the shock piston enough times to make you happy then refill with the oil weight of your choice. It's easy to do it trackside. I always dump the old oil into a red solo cup while humming Toby Keith's masterpiece. 1

I was always told never to trust a man who has two first names though.
