Although the best woman of them all really likes my hobby, I don't expect her to buy me my stuff. I love it when she surprises me with funny gifts. One of the best is a bottle opener in shape of the U.S.S. Enterprise (NCC1701), it meets my interests and it works great. I really love it to this day. The last gift is a t-shirt with the word "Ka-tas-tro-phe" (catastrophy), which is related to a TV series running here in Germany: "Steel Buddies" and "Morlock Motors" which represent a "company" here in Germany that buys all sorts of stuff from the U.S. Army and tries to make some sort of living from that (and a lot more).

After being through several relationships and one marriage it seems that I finally found the "girl" that suits me as perfect as possible. One time we visited the toy fair in Nuremberg and she went through it like Alice in Wonderland. And I am so grateful that she is as childish as I am. Well I will turn 60 this month and she will turn 50 next year, and she's been with me longer than any woman before her. One evening we built the Saturn V from LEGO IDEAS together. And she insisted that the rocket has to be represented in our living room. How lucky can a man be?

If the wife, girlfriend or spouse does not like a mans hobby at all and she shows it, that can be quite depressing. After my wife, I told every woman who came into my life: "That's my hobby and you can have me with it or you won't have me!"

A man doesn't seem to mature until he stops seeking validation and approval from a woman.

Men and maturity? I thought that doesn't comply with each other! :D We have another quote here: "Men only develop until they're 10 years old, from there on they only grow in size!"

Before my wife was my wife, she bought me my first RC plane radio and kit for Christmas one year.  My future in-laws bought me the glow engine.    Been into RC for about 35 years and I jokingly reminder her from time to time that this is all her fault!  :P

So, just me that really enjoy the process off making them then

Oh, no.... I love the building process! Maybe more than running them.

There’s some lovely, heartwarming and funny replies here already.
Allow me to get back to what’s really important by saying, genuinely, the best gift my wife gave me was a Mercedes C11 (left)!

If we equate best to fastest, the best RC- related gift my wife has given me is also a Mercedes C11.

I did get an M08 once, and that was a  very nice kit. She sometimes lacks a bit of self-confidence though, and asks id I rather had an M07 which was also on the wishlist. Takes me some effort to convince her I'm happy with her gift.

True, no cat. But if we are talking animal gifts, the best one my wife has given me has to be this guy:
