Hello RC friends, the seller is chinese and may not have understood what 'anodized' means (the seller said it's painted) but do you think the seller's shocks are painted or anodized?

Thank you in advance.
God bless RC racers.

Thank you.

Interesting, anodization (which a china sellers says is electroplating, if they're not the same I take coz' he or she is chinese he thought it was the same) is actually cheaper than painting it? I hope real cars like Tesla anodizes the Cybertruck which I hope the R/C manufacturers will have an official R/C of soon since Pres. Trump won whose cabinet will include Elon (Elon on Twitter expressed interest in anodizing his Teslas and rockets vs. paint which would look cool).

I guess all shocks online are anodized if it looks like metallic paint. The chinese may not know what anodized means.

You can anodize only aluminium.

It is also (mainly?) related to shape and size. If you want to anodize part, you just put it to proper solution and things start to happen.

Now try to imagine, how hard is to paint such small elements like shocks.

Electroplating and anodising are quite similar processes - the part is bathed in a chemical and electric current is ran through it to create thin sirface layer that bonds well with base metal. So I understand that they called it like that. The difference is, that anodising is way to oxidise layer of a metal part (aluminium or titanium), while electroplating deposits layer of another metal. In the case of aluminium, yes, I'd guess it's cheaper, because it requires less manual work.
