No, will be there Wednesday. I won't be able to do anything for a while as I'm going up to Sydney for 5 days for the Homebake music thing on the 3rd, but will be able to do something during the following weekend. I still have Will's cell number, so I'll text him...or post up here about having a bit of a bash.

So do you guys have any plans...? Off road I hope. Can't believe it's been over a year since I've seen you guys, lol [xx(]

Hey we get plenty of sun here, but y'know we actually get rain too so no drought situations for us matey [;)]

I plan to be there with a few pan cars, all welcome to drop in (Drew, I still have you a red TA02 motor mount ;-) )... run what you brung...

Yeah I guess I have noticed, but it doesn't matter really. It is the "silly season" after all so I didn't count on much happening. Still would've been a bit of fun though. Ended up buying one of those Desert Gator buggies, from Hearn's. Not a bad little car, well to build, so far...

Pan cars, cool. Makes me wish I had a beater 956 to run so I woouldn't trash my new built one. Stick some pix up if you guys do something, would be good to see some "action."

Later,

Mike.

this must be the longest surviving thread ever.

any much longer and it'll be competing with The Bold and The Beautiful for tenure. [:^)]

(heck, TC has better plots anyway)

Willy, good to see you again!!!!!! You've been quieter than a Retro RC website update..... well, almost... [:P]

Corpse Thrower, didn't see that anyone had actually replied, seems a lot of the e-mail topic notification has gone the way of the dodo...

When is this happening? Think we need to get some hands in the 'up' location, see who's interested.... think over the past two or three years there's been two Melbourne TC get-togethers, with three people at each (the SAME three people!!!). Would love to see FOUR people.... and no Willy, I'm not counting your missus ;-)

I'm in. Just tell me when and where.....Port Melbourne on the sand, in a paddock in Frankston, Ballarat, wherever. Just put a 13x2 in the Frog, and I'll have my Dark Impact with a Novak 4.5 by then, so I'm all set!!

in a paddock in Frankston,

Ah, come on!!! Its not the sticks anymore. Granted is is

far from the city, but it has come a long way in the last ten years.

Its getting harder to find bogans around the station trying to 'bludge

a dorey' and even some of  those paddocks have become housing estates (not ones like the Jasmine Allan for all those in England).

Well maybe it is the sticks, at least the crime rate is low. And even

if something happens, you know who did it, its always the same

person. .....and it is good to run your cars and planes in

those BIG open space

Oh man, this thread is still going without any results in a decent Tamiya Club drive day? Lol, you guys need a Kiwi to sort yourselves out it seems [;)] Seriously though, there's gotta be at least 5 of you in the Melbourne area and TFTR's an alright place for a laugh on the weekend no matter what kind of car you've got. Alex, Will & I have managed to run and crash and break and strip servos in our cars there and I don't even live in Oz. I may be over in November. I'm keen for another "meet" if any of you are.

And Frankston's alright. I never get why people like to make fun of that place. Seemed pretty nice to me being by the sea. The whole Morningtom Peninsula is all good.

Righto, I'm in for November, or whenever.

Franger is fine with me, always got a full pack of gaspers, so I'm ready for any train station, or public toilet walkby!!

Darkie strangled, and equipped with brushless. Ready to take on Michael and Ralph!!

Sorry matey, been a bit busy finishing my Lunchbox.... looks like now I'll have something to take my lunch to work in!!!

Alex

Well, that was fun.... haven't laughed so much in ages..... until the front shock shaft snapped lol....

Mike, have you glued the tyres on your LB? I found that they act a bit like a natural slipper if not glued.... I know mine were spinning like mad under acceleration, with just the TZ.... and I don't think I need more speed! That thing keeps rolling over! Oh, and the wheelie bar doesn't seem to stay where it's supposed to [:(]

Looks like I busted my car BEFORE the drive day.... I'm getting better!!!!

lol....

TZ motors are pretty quick, try driving a 'Box with one of those on a dirt track! It's a good laugh. No steering what-so-ever!

Nah, I generally don't glue my tires to the rims, I use rubber bands in the grooves where the edge of the tires sit. This way if I wanna replace the tires or whatever I don't have to literally rip the tires off, or buy new rims again. You should try it, it works real well.

Some screws on that wheelie bar might help keep it on [:P] Or just put a big screw with a locknut on the other end on it.

Heh heh heh... [:D]
