I don`t want to get nuts by all the meeting ideas, but reading about the first Tamiya drive I asked myself, if there is potential for having a meeting in Germany or surrounding nations like The Netherlands, Belgium or France?

Your comment, please.

Yes, we should arrange one somewhere centally in Europe, maybe in spring? Central locations like Belgium or Germany would be great. Another one?

I'd say the Netherlands or Holland... [:o)] LOL

There seem to be relatively many circuits and so on in the eastern part of the country, those farmers have more time than we city-ppl. There isn't any offroad track near my house, actually... [:(]

Any other ideas? [:D]

For only 3 of us, it should be very easy to arrange a meeting.[:D]

Anyway, I would be interested, if there are more members from this region.

I really thought about comming to the UK for taking part at that meeting. Unfortunately I had a more important meeting in hospital before, so I had to forget about that with my handicap. Maybe next time.

I live in Belgium and would love to have a meeting near here, or some other place nearer than UK.

I don't know too much about the RC scene here but I'm sure there must be a place.

All the UK guys could get together and bring a minibus and then take a load of tabacco and drink back home.[:D]

If I find anywhere suitable I'll let you know.

It should be near my house - I got parents to convince and that is getting pretty tricky... [:(] If it's not nextdoor they don't like it, there's nothing really I can do about that... [xx(]

O.K., lets daydream.

If it should be Belgium, there is a nice place for it.

About 20 km`s into Belgium passing the border at Aachen (D) there is an offroad park called Bilstain. I`ve been there a couple of times racing my motorbikes. It`s a hughe playground for Enduro-, Supermotard and Trial racers, BMX pilots as well as 4x4 and ATV drivers. A valley in the woods without a fixed track, lots of camping space, hard packed surface and a small restaurant with fine Belgium fast food.

Thats Ok because I am English!![:D] so no problem for me.

Can you give more details. Is it worth taking my motocross bike there?

Hi Guys,

Bibbo, I know where Bilstain is . They used to organise the WC-meeting outdoor trial overthere (those were the good days when Belgium with Eddy Lejeune was on top). it is about 180 km from us Bibbo.

So, if it is Belgium , you can count me in also.

greetings

Koen

I will give you a direct email, so we don't have to bore all the other members with MX matters.

I suggested the location Bilstain because of several reasons:

-A big terrain even for Bikers

-Steep hills for Trialists

-On Road Supermotard track available

-restauration, showers and toilets available

-the Belgiums and Dutch tolerate every infantile insanity, as long it is fast

-Its a nice region, if you want to bring your family with you.

-@bibbo, you can bring your bike with

[:D]I'm getting all watery at the mouth just thinking about it[:D]

[:D]Can we do it next week!!!![:D]

Seriously, it sounds like a good idea. If some UK guys want to make a weekend of it then they could have a good time and make it worth their journey.

Obviously the weather is going to be a big part of the amount of fun you can have, so it might be better to go for a date near to summer as possible. Maybe we Belgian guys should arrange to meet up in the new year and chaeck it out. If it's a success then we could make a proper posting in the forums using photos etc. to give everybody a good idea of what to expect and they can see if they want to make a long journey.

I say sooner the better, how about in January when all the christmas stuff is eaten and theres nothing to do but play with your presents ( new Tamiya stuff[:D])

I live about 100 km from Bilstain on the Geman side, so having a meeting there is easy for me.

If such a meeting would become actual, a pre meeting would be necessary to negotiate all the details with the owner. They only speak Flemish and French, so I don’t know whether I could explain it right.

Further on it is crucial to have dry conditions because the hard packed surface turns into a special kind of mud, like oil on a pane of glass, just by adding a single drop of water.

A nice idea to arrange a little meeting. [^]

I am from Germany too, from Moers that is 35 kms from Düsseldorf and 37 kms form the Netherlands (Venlo - Provinz Limburg).

Hi Guys

What happened to those talking about meeting up in Bilstain, are you stuck in the mud?

Anyway I've just registered to this club.

I'm living in Belgium at the moment (the heart of Europe right?) So would be interested to meet up also for anything off roady, and maybe bring the family along.
