Not a great day....

They gonna give you stents or just the angio? Either way, no big deal and nothing to worry about. I have 5 stents from two heart attacks with 3 separate trips to the cath lab. I'm working my way through rewards points at the hospital. Wishing you a speedy recovery man.

Thanks man.... I could use a little "been there", you know? The clues so far have been wildly variable blood pressure, low oxygen levels.... in the past 26 hours I've had:

4 CT scans, with dye. 2 MRIs, one with dye (I think I glow in the dark now!). 2 ultrasounds (because apparently my Gallbladder HAD to join in!). Countless blood tests, and an echo (ECG)...  Now they're throwing out the possibility there might be congestive heart failure!!!!! 😮😮😮😮😮😮😭😭  WHAT!?  AND my Gallbladder is likely coming out this week!

Angioplasty is tomorrow. Gallbladder coming out is no big deal. I've dealt with a PE 8 years ago, and have an idea what to expect. Pneumonia? Apparently with the shopping list of other problems, WOULD have killed me if my wife didn't drag my butt to the ER!!

But the thought of possible congestive heart failure.... scares the CRAP out of me!! That took my mom, 12 years ago. I keep hearing that IF you get through it.... the quality of life you're left with is tragically limited.

@Rinskie I feel like I'm dealing with everything BUT a heart attack!! And I don't have to tell any of you, handling bad stuff can be doable....

NOT KNOWING, and being thrown some horrible possibilities...... SUCKS!!!

Yikes! That's no good....I'm pleased you've got into hospital and care quickly though, take it easy Carmine A and rest up. I'm sure you will be out of there in no time.

All the best mate.

Thanks mate. Yeah, like I mentioned earlier, America's Healthcare system is as catastrophically flawed as every other first world country. Expensive doesn't describe it...

But timely, outstanding treatment without a trace of bureaucracy is easy here....

PAYING FOR IT is another story.  Thanks again!

On blood thinners?
I've been on those for a while now, and a cholesterol killer. Yeah getting old has knobs on. But I guess taking pills is better than the alternative.

I do hope you are one the mend mate.

I am on the way back, slowly... thanks mate.

Actually, I have another unusual glitch.... that I was born with. My sweat produces trace amounts of hydrochloric acid! My sweat eats jewelry, some fabrics, varnish, enamel paints, my bed sheets.... and apparently, IV tubes entering my veins!! 😯😮😯😮  I told them, but of course they didn't believe me.

The SIXTH IV.... Titanium tube, in my bicep (mid-line), because it obviously can't bend! I HAD to be unusual!

@Beetlemankurt you're right mate! This last one should work. I've got an equally odd multiple diagnoses... but we now know, and I'm finally heading in the right direction!

Having beautiful nurses..... adds some bravado!! 😜 This is an incredible shock to the system. Basically, if there's an 'itis', I've got it!

We're all thinking of you and sending prayers, and the only cure for Tamiyitis is more Tamiyas! :D

Friends, we've finally gotten to the root of this..... I've got a serious Staph Infection. Basically a root virus that affects EVERYTHING! Though I still have Dystolic Heart Failure, which there's no cure, and Pancreatitis, also no cure.... but treatable with insulin... and I'm already a diabetic!

The Pulmonary Embolism has been shrunk and managed!

The bit that makes me angriest.... MOST of this was caused by being prescribed Ozempic!!! I hit nearly every side effect on the list! It caused nearly my whole body to shut down.

Thank you @Kol__ and all of you for your well wishes, Prayers, and the pending gift, which is way beyond anything I expected!

Wow! So Christmas cheer does work, we've got you out of immediate danger already!😀

Lol, seriously though that's amazing mate, good to hear you have a diagnosis. What's the treatment?

Some of the guys have been extremely generous already and we have a good fund building, so we should be able to get a kit (or two?🤞) for you so you can continue to RC whilst you recover and pay off those medical costs!

This is beyond incredible! I'm so pumped full of IV antibiotics right now, THINKING makes me vomit!! 🤢   But it's better than the alternative. I missed Thanksgiving, but might be home for Christmas. You guys (and my pretty nurses!) have really helped my spirits in this very trying time.
