Not a great day....

Recommended Posts

I don't recommend this! The tests alone have been torture. Especially the Endoscopy.... literally shoving a camera down my throat into my stomach! Thank God for anesthesia!! But when it wore off... the world's WORST sore throat and gag reflex. 🤢

Back to my first statement, PLEASE take care of yourselves! All THIS at once might not happen, but you never know....

we've finally gotten to the root of this

This is the best news. Its a really miserable experience when people cant tell you whats wrong.  A couple of years or so back I had a thing that went on for about a year as they tried all kinds of tests even sitting me down and preparing me in case it was cancer, thankfully it wasnt. But that whole year of uncertainty was horrible. I even started putting my affairs in order once the cancer discussion happened. I can concur that an endoscopy is miserable. I had to have that and a colonoscopy at the same time and that was no fun either.

Best of luck with your recovery @Carmine A, try and get someone to note down everything the doctors tell you and follow all their advice.

@Carmine A is right. Take your health very seriously. If you think something is wrong dont try and brave it out. Get professional advice straight away.

@Kol__ it was beyond awful! Plus having my own unique chronic problems.... bed and IV eating sweat!!!! 😯😮 And I thought Diabetes was going to be hard to manage. That's EASY compared to what I've got to change, to deal with Dystolic Heart Failure!! Permanent, irreversible.

My rich, delicious, varied, high fat, moderate cholesterol diet................ F'IN GONE!!!! 😢😭😭🤬🤬

Sure, it's better than the alternative 🚑🎱🪦   But.... geez!?!?

I guess I'm starting to process all of this, now that I've actually got some diagnosis to process. But without coming out and saying it.... OZEMPIC... just singlehandedly SHORTENED my life!! 😭🤬😭 How much, nobody knows. Ozempic, along with the other "new and hot" GLP-1 Diabetic/Weight Management drugs...... that Pharmaceutical Companies are pushing Doctors to use.

Many people experience little to none of the awful side effects.... I was one of the "lucky" ones. FIRSTLY, it did not manage my blood sugar levels. And nearly everything I ate, came back out, through my mouth!! Doctor told me it takes time, as it gets a damaged Pancreas to start working....... IT gave me Pancreatitis!!

@Gebbly you're absolutely correct. Not knowing was far more scary. Again, if you're over 40, get a check-up at least once a year. They hit you at both ends!?! UGH!!! 😞

I originally went to Hospital because of extreme shortness of breath. I got horribly winded going to the toilet - adjacent to my bedroom! Ozempic ALSO causes blood clots... which caused my Pulmonary Embolism! It also CAUSED  my partial Heart Failure!

So essentially, Ozempic SHORTENED my life! By how much? Nobody knows yet. So.......... being American, I KNOW what I have to do next.

SUE THE CRAP OUT OF OZEMPIC'S PARENT COMPANY!!!

Sadly, chances are that I may not live to see that outcome 😕.... I might though. Either way, my Grandbabies will have the options of quality college education and nice cars. AND, maybe (God forbid!!) If a member of this wonderful group falls into bad health.... I could pay your amazing gesture forward and start a fundraiser for that person. I HOPE I never have to, but having that option would warm my busted Heart. And I'm not a litigious person.... BUT THEY DESERVE IT!

Absolutley go after them big time. I'd be asking questions of the Dr too if he said 'keep taking it' after you reported issues. Are doctors in the States paid by drug companies to prescribe their products ? Not sure how it works on your side of the pond.

Fingers crossed it can be managed and you get to see your Grand kids growing up and spreading their wings.

Keep fighting.

I'm not good at quitting.... they're definitely going to pay for this! Before Ozempic, my only problem was Diabetes.

Research shows you are not alone. One person suing is not enough, but many people suing might be enough to push for the right change.

I can't or will not say if you should take on the challenge of suing them, but I wish you good luck and get well soon.

Look into the anti-inflammatory diet, the one recommended for people with multiple sclerosis. I went on this diet alongside someone diagnosed with M.S. almost one year ago for support and I dropped 10 kilos (22 lbs) in the first few months without even trying. My blood exam and blood pressure did a 180 degree turn and I feel great! Other than my recent downhill mountain bike accident, of course.

I wouldn't expect more than a pittance from joining a class action lawsuit.... but if it could prevent others from going through this, I'm in. Pushing Ozempic is worse than CRACK, with worse outcome!

That might be an idea, thanks. Evil Ozempic made me drop 37lbs in 9 weeks. But of course the rest WASN'T worth it. 😕  Before Ozempic, my Kidneys, Gallbladder and HEART still worked!!!!  The idea of a bland diet just makes me bummed. I'll take any constructive suggestions.

Boost Natural Omega 3s.
Drop saturated fats as much as you can. 16g per day.

Live to build kits and drive ‘em. :)

The dietary change is amazing. I was a fried chicken, burger, steak, fries kind of guy. Maybe now a burger once a week or two in order to maintain a little protein. But veggies, fruits, fatty fish and white meat will keep you kicking longer. There are so many good recipes out there just for this. I’ve even learned how to cook and enjoy it! Like building a kit, how can I change this for the better?

Don’t burn out just yet. You have many days before you. What’s the old saying? Change the mind and the @ss will follow? ;) True believer myself. I lived the change. Less and less you’ll find the greasy tastes palatable.

edit: just to add that the person I joined in the dietary plan with who has M.S. just recently visited the Neurologist with me. The Neurologist was already armed to prescribe her a life-time regiment of medications, but rescinded and added that she would like to follow her case more closely after seeing the results.

@Hypoxic .... I'm keeping my spirits up. This morning I start physical therapy! I get to leave this room and walk around. I'm taking a bit of your advice and have replaced all my protein meal choices with fish. Fortunately, I love seafood!!

That's amazing news about your friend! She must be relieved to not be a walking chemical bag. I've been trying to avoid that myself. Although lately, between HORSE PILLS and IV shots, all antibiotics... I can taste medicine! But im happy for her! And you! Apparently you've had quite a bumpy road yourself.

Yeah, bumpy roads, us both,. Just be sure to use the CVA 50520 shocks. Adjustable and highly rated here. :)

Thank you 😊

It's an uphill battle, I'm still in the ICU, hopefully finally leaving by the end of next week.
