Wild one - preservation or runner?

Recommended Posts

My Wild One was in pretty much mint condition, having all the vintage electronic equipment and almost no rere parts (apart from some clips) but I have started ruining it recently due to accidents, poor decisions and mistakes. More and more scuffs and scratches have started to appear on parts and all 4 rims have been replaced with aluminium ones, since I was originally intending to run it frequently.

However, I’m currently lost. As I would like to sell it later on I’m not sure what to do with it. Should I buy some more hop ups (such as bearings) and keep running it every now and then, or try not to upset purists when selling it later on?

Since you already have aluminum rims I wouldn't worry about the purists, just run it and have fun. I'd be more worry about the old brittle plastic than anything else.

Pound for pound you’ll have much more fun continuing to run the car you have and then selling it as and when you are ready.

By the time you’ve bought a new kit and all the items you need, paint, bearings, pinion, ESC, servo, you will have spent more than you will lose between a mint vintage WO and a used vintage WO.
