TWO bits of good news.... my blood pressure is stabilized for the first time since I was admitted! Blood Oxygen is still low, but I'm moving in the right direction. I'm told I might actually be going home in a week to 10 days.... if my body behaves! If happiness is a measure, I'm ready!

FYI -I have been absent from this forum recently as i never got my kids interested in this hobby so i needed to put it on ice for a period now and do other stuff with them, but i will come back on the forum when kids can manage more on their own (which will not be very long as the smallest one started school this year).

I know exactly what you mean mate, juggling time with a family is a challenge and finding time for yourself to get away from it all is important, but hard to balance against spending time with the family and work etc. too. That's part of the reason I have been away from it too myself these days, I tend to be a little all or nothing sometimes with the forum for some reason.

I read an amazing quote a while ago that changed me... 'the greatest gift a father can give his kids, is his time'

I've got to say, I'm humbled by how generous and thoughtful my fellowTC'ers are - for us to exceed that target in a day is just amazing.  A special mention needs to go to @Kol__ for putting this in action. 👍

I truly hope you are feeling a lot better very soon @Carmine A and that the love we are all sending you helps the healing process, and whatever you choose to have brings you some respite from the trials you are going through right now.

That's really not a bad idea! This will be just as much your build as it is mine. I may have to hunt down 1:1 car paint, to match that blue without looking too pastel.

I wonder if there is anyone on the forum who can print stickers? If so they could print little name stickers for @Carmine A as the driver and @Kol__ as the navigator to go on the truck somewhere like the rally drivers do

Don't you worry about what you can and can't do.... as a whole, I believe you guys lifted me from the pit of despair. I  can't stress this enough....

JUST THE GESTURE OF WHAT YOU'VE ALL DONE has helped me beyond whatever dollar amount! I've got something special to look forward to (besides family of course) when I get home. 

Side bonus: this will be the first time I'll get to build a Tamiya kit.... as a NEW RELEASE!! That just adds to this small miracle. 

Can't wait to leave this place.... but I might steal a couple of nurses!! I ain't dead yet! 😊😜
