For years I've read and heard through various old ads and promos that the original Wild Willy did wheelies, jumps, spin turns and jump turns. I know what wheelies and jumps are and suss out what a spin turn is but, what exactly is a jump turn?

I have seen people on this forum discuss how, when in the air mid-jump, it is possible using the throttle and the resultant wheel rotation to affect the cars levelling in flight to try and control the landing. Perhaps it is possible to somehow affect the cars horizontal rotation in a similar way?

A jump turn is a maneuver using a quarter pipe style jump to launch the truck almost vertically. While in the air, the truck pivots through 180 degrees and comes back down the way it came, but this time hitting the ramp vertically and transitioning back to horizontal.

Tamiya demo drivers sometimes do them at shows. You can see one being attempted right near the end of this video for example:

If you were doing it in an aeroplane, it would be called a stall turn or hammerhead.
