Tamiyaclub merchandise?

Recommended Posts

I came to think about decals/stickers since it was mentioned in the "Calling all of TC ..." thread.

Wouldn't it be a nice thing if someone could make a sticker/decal sheet for Tamiyaclub so that we could put some Tamiyaclub love on our cars? Of course, it would have to have the blessing of @netsmithUK I would assume.

I looked at the TC main page, and there are links for merchandise, but neither Modelsport nor Tamico has anything at all.

There are t-shirts that look quite nice on the main page.

If there were some TC decals, I'd definitely buy some/more than some!

I used to be a member of the Suzuki X-90 club and we had keychains and stickers made up. This was like 2 decades ago, I think with easier customisation now, it will be cheaper to make them too.

Some recent examples I have seen are the Blockhead Motors swag (keychains, decals, etc) and the Pine Beach RC Raceway (380 Racing thread) with their decals.

On a similar note, there's someone on a bike forum I use who makes custom enamel pin badges. Could probably get some of these made quite easily.

Just to throw in my 2p,

A tamiyaclub sticker/decal reg plate, for the likes of the Lunchbox, for a nod would be brilliant!

Maybe a gold version only available for paid up members....

Very nice idea. I would definitely buy one or more TC sticker sheets. I would also have nothing against a premium version of the sticker sheets for subscribers. 🙂

I got a small number of these from @ruebiracer when we met in april at Tamico Off Road cup in Kinzigtal where I raced the Sand Viper.

Very proud of these :D and so glad I had one left for the Grasshopper EVO. Stickersheets would sell like crazy IMO.

I would also love a "Tamiyaclub" registration plate instead of the "Stolen" or "Bchbaum" Tamiya ones.

We all know how I feel about some TC decals.... license plates could be cool too. 😉

Stickers are fine but should be easy enough to just upload the file for anyone to print? How about some proper merch like keyring, coasters, pens...maybe even clothing like caps, ties...?

Not everyone has a good enough printer... especially for bold printing on vinyl.

But I agree, other merch would be cool, and boost funds for the forum. 😀

This is a nice idea. Some years back our "group of interest" got some small stickers for our cars printed (left side of the rear window):

It's a Clod Buster in the outline of the German Federal State of Hessen and says "Hessisch Congo Monster Connection". "Hessisch Congo" is somekind of a wordplay for a minimal developed outback with a warm climate.

I would proudly sport a TC-sticker on my cars.

I´d propose maybe a sticker sheet full of Tamiyaclub logos @ MCI Racing e.g..

As Tamico now makes there own stickers and is a TC sponsor, maybe they can be motivated to offer some? Think it´s all about the moderators here,

but overdue!

A few years ago we made stickers.  I started a joke sponsor sticker thread and someone else started a TC sticker thread.  I can only find the joke sponsor thread now.

A member printed them, and I ended up with a couple sheets.  There were 1:1 size and 1:10 size decals.  Here are a couple on my ‘Feet:

Yes, these stickers are so much fun. Many of my Cars have these stickers on it. The project ran during the covid lock down and was fun in this otherwise sad period.

I have facilities to produce vinyl cut tamiyaclub logos. Happy to do some samples for the powers that be.

I'd be happy to do another run of those silly stickers. I can print on clear now with white ink now too. Plus a couple of other options. I'll dig out the old artwork and see if I can do some others as well.

while I'm at it, does anyone know what the policy is for printing Tamiya Club stickers? I could add them to the decal sheet if Chris is ok with that?

The main problem with merch is that the demand is hard to estimate. Yeah every jumps over about how much they want it, but when the product is on market, can be a total flop.

Seems like a cool, cool idea but could be a liability.

these are the ones I did last time (red line is the cut line). I'll see if I can setup some others. There was lots of suggestions in that previous thread, plus easy enough to set up some club stickers. Size wise, the unhappy face would fit to a headlight.

Yes, all these stickers are used on several of my cars and other related items.

My favourites: Snapoff, Basil and...... I like them all. The 240826 is a special one: The legendary Conrad motor.
