Issues with RCMart?

Recommended Posts

I have ordered from RCMart at least 10 times and always receiving my packages; I'm in the US. Unfortunately the last order I placed was marked as delivered but I didn't receive anything. Obviously it could be anyone's fault along the chain. For example a neighbor could have received by mistake but be too lazy/inept to give the package to me. (Note that this would be grounds for acquiring a nitro car with a tuned pipe and running it on my street).

So I was wondering if anyone knew how the "system" works in terms of transferring the package from HK Post to some domestic carrier within the US? In the past I have either received the package at my door (no clue who the carrier was) or in the mail box (which would have been USPS since only they use the mailbox and have the key). This was a "SSS" shipment which implies a small parcel.

Last time a package from Europe was lost I tried the tracking number directly in the USPS tool based on a recommendation from @Andreas W and it worked, but this time the HK tracking number won't work with USPS. No luck with EMS tracking either.

Any idea or feedback anyone?

I have contacted RCMart but I'm not very hopeful for a full refund, RCMart having their own special views on the matter such as charging for shipping if we do a return etc.

I'm also in the US, and a quick search of my email history says I've ordered either direct or through their ebay store nearly 20 times. I have not had any issues receiving my orders. I use Parcelsapp.com to stalk my overseas shipments, as it usually shows when it changes hands and provides the next tracking numbers if they change.

Might be your local mailman.  Ours recently retired and our new one likes to mark pax delivered even though they haven’t been.  They usually show up the next day.  This drove my wife nuts last few weeks with Xmas deliveries.

Might very well be the case. I have found a lot of threads on Reddit and the such about how there's some gimmick about how it's advantageous for the mailman to mark delivered but only get around to delivering a few days later. Not sure why and not really interested in knowing why 😅 but that's a thing apparently.

^ That's crazy! Hundreds of trackings and I've never had it not provide info from a carrier. Something's wrong.

RCMART always got the shipping right for me, many many shipments. My guess is it would be the local shipper. Be it - Ups, Usps, Fed-Ex, Etc..., left it it in the wrong place and no one did the right thing to get it to you. RE: nieghbor or down the block?

It was actually USPS. Somehow the package was delivered to my workplace address but that was only visible once RCMart shared the shipping receipt with me; the order details on the website was only showing my home address. So all is good now 🙂
