Hello all,

Whilst flying in to Birmingham Airport the other weekend I noticed a few possible good sites for local meet in Sutton Park. As soon as I get a free day I intend to take some cars over for a recce.

Will post again if I find a suitable place to have some fun.

Anyone interested in meeting up please email me to clive@cliveandraynah.co.uk

Hi Daz,

I went to Sutton Park but it wasn't the area I saw, might be Cannock Chase. I am trying to find somewhere with good tarmac and a grass/soil hilly area. Noticed centre of my local park has a few good spots. Old bmx track and a large undulating grassed area. By that I mean ridges and furrows a metre apart. No decent tarmac though.

That is in Acocks Green if you are interested. Do you know of anywhere between Cov and Brum. I live just off A41 in Acocks Green.

Cheers

Clive

How about Kingsbury water park (away from the model boating pool of course!)

I live in Wolvo, i too was thinking about checking out Cannock Chase but its huge i wouldn't know where to start looking. I think i know one place, its basically one of the car parks. It has a surface similar to Clumber park, lots of loose gravel and some hilly parts i think. I'l let you know i might check it out this weekend

Hello [:D]

I am heading there on Sunday, weather permitting. There is an area between the two golf courses that looks suitable. I saw it from the air. It is the chasewater side of the chase. Will try to find a map reference for it tomorrow.

OK, have looked on streetmap.co.uk and the area I saw lies either side of a line between Brockton and Hazelslade it was an open area so intend to start looking around there on Sunday.

If anyone wants to join the search and take some cars along email me and I will pass on my mobile number to meet up. If it is raining I intend to stay home and do some much needed decorating[V]

The only problem is with Bedworth track is that they charge you for using it i did approach them long before this site went up and we was discussing where to race/meet on robys board..the ppl who owned the Bedworth track wanter £200 for the day [:0] but i think it's time to have another go at them and see if they can give it us for free on a weekend when they're not racing... Could be a future candidate for a spring/summer/autumn drive[?]

Watch this space..............

Clive if you can manage to get any pics of these places you're talking about.Any chance of getting them up on here so we can have a look???

no tamiya i think youve missed my point........

they will charge £200 to have total use of the track for the day with the use of the transducers and for ppl to be there and use of the office where they use, so i was told by one of the 'main men' who owns the track, if this is the case then ppl who come will have to pay to cover costs..Or we could just find out when they're not there put something on here and just use it :(
