How do you erase you're account and name on here? Is there a master button to hit and delete ? Seems after my big Trump sucks thread, one is ignored and ousted for daring to show displeasure at their government on an RC car forum. (I won't apologize for disrupting talk about little toy cars)

So I'd rather be shot into space than continue to post.

I guess a mod can tell an admin to delete me and all my history here?

without trying to get political, as any talk about Trump is devisive (and no I am not a supporter of his politics either), but I for one I think it would be a shame if you left.

I'm just going to take a long break from the Internet. Reading about the latest drama in the USA, drives me up the wall. I'm generally expecting ww3 to happen, it's crazy

I guess getting off of the Internet for a while, will let me do more stuff that should get done around my place. It sucks to be the type that lets the Internet "mess with him" it's flat out nuts lol.

So yah I'll be gone for a while. Thanks.

I for one use this great forum to read and chat about Tamiya, the occasional real car talk and a bit of 4 wheeled banter but never politics.

Leave the politics talk to other forums or on a soapbox in a town centre.

I do have a strong interest in politics, but I like to do it down the pub.

8 bottles of Newcastle Brown, a few strong words, some threats then a fight in the car park.

Proper stuff like this⬇️

A bit of rough restoration work on these.

Bottom ones better than the other condition wise. Had to find donor ESC's for the wire crimp part and @ucacjbs helped me get some new correct silicone wire👍🏻

And fitted

Opened up yet another can of 100% pure maple syrup and hey, it totally looks and feels just like damper oil. I should give it a try on some of my buggies.

There's gradations, too: golden for soft, amber for medium and dark for hard! So very Canadian

New TT02D build. NISMO R34 GTR. P59 dark metallic blue with PS12 silver backing. Trimmed and peeled the tint stickers which looked horrible but kept the black window surrounds (love the effect as I like to see the go fast bits inside an RC and be able to read the Lipo alarm display). X1 gloss black for the wing mirrors and wing spoiler. Yeah Racing black wheelset with road tyres vaguely resemble the OG Nismo. Gifting the silver drift wheelset from the kit to my 11yr old daughter for her AMG TT02 which she is stoked about. Resoldered the 1060 esc with deans plugs for 2S. Built with a few Tamiya hop ups beyond the basic extras with the TT02D kitset, so it’s actually now a pretty fun spec: sport tuned 540, bearings, alu prop shaft and joints, alu motor mount, alu heat sink, steering upgrade kit, 68T high speed gear set, 24 & 25 pinion set. Running 68x25 and a Dumbo DDF350 controller. Wicked little car and quick enough that I need to modulate the throttle to stay in control which is what I wanted.

Do you have ants in Canada…?  🤣.    They might drive it away if there’s enough of them.

Actually  yesterday. Made some custom laser-cut shock towers for the Bush Devil.

Because sometimes I do like some automotive nonsense :)

This can looks familiar for me. I think I get such one from a customer employee at work some years ago. From where in Canada is this can of maple syrup?

The Sand Blasters get my vote.

Chevron for me. I have never got used to the different offset wheels front and rear. It has always disturbed me. These wheels fix it and the Ranger suits such tyres like a glove

They both look great @Frog Jumper

I think the Chevron’s just get the edge though for me with the style of that truck. Nice work adapting the front wheels to fit too.

(P.S @Andreas W I believe Mr @jonboy1 used to make/print, or whatever modern wizardry it was, those Brat type wheels with equal offset front & rear 😉)

Blasters. I'm partially biased because I see the SRB F150 Ranger in my mind's eye and because I see chevrons and automatically think "big monster truck" tire or 4wd puller.

I see this can all over the country, I think it's a standard one along with a few other variants. Producers fill them in and add their own label on the side.

Finally added the GF02 arms on the MF01x FJ45.

Seem to work great. More information in the build thread but went with 48mm dogbones front and back.

Achievement earned: Bash it 'till you break it (stripped servo horn, crushed roll bar).

That's official 'First day of Spring' dust kiddies.

Started to rebuild DT-02.

IMG-20250320-194809.jpg

It was my real basher during winter: snow, water, mud, sand. Quite a lot of jumps and crashes. However, it is still in nice condition. Great chassis!

Now I decided to rebuild it totally ( few hours of washing all parts) and make it nice again. Of course, parts are bit damaged, but everything works fully fine.

Parts were not only washed, but I e.g. polished all suspension and shocks shafts. Body will be repainted, because in few places paint peeled off.

I bought only new wing, ball connectors, shocks mounts and gears, because I stripped one thread in diff.

At the end it will be like bit tired, but mechanically perfect RC.

I have also plan to use front uprights from DT-04. However, I am not sure when they will appear in LHS. If in nearest future, I will buy them. If not and I have to wait few months, it does not make sense.

BTW:

During rebuilds, I always had a problem with cleaning e.g. suspension shaft holes. Part from outside was perfectly clean, but really dirty in that places because I was not able to reach them.

I found solution:

szczoteczka%20do%20rzes.jpg

Brushes for lashes. They are really small and fit perfectly into 3 mm holes.

Wicked !  I’ve started collecting parts for DT-02 upgrades too.  Need those DT-04 B parts to start popping up.

Nothing special, they are the regular two piece Tamiya wheels with the chrome plating on the plastic.
