Well, for all you guys who didn't make it, WillyC and I had some fun.... unfortunately, he also let me have a go of one of his race Minis... which proved three things:

(1) I am too used to using sticks...

(2) Those electric touring guys have too much co-ordination!

(3) I'VE GOT TO GET ME ONE OF THESE!!!!!

So, it looks like I might be selling some of my collection to get me a Mini.... anyone sees anything in my showroom, I'm open to offers!!! lol...

Thanks Willy, the missus will NOT be impressed...

Glad you enjoyed it, but you left too early, matey... 'cos

1) we forgot to take a group picture!! []

2) hey, the M03 still had LOTS of battery power left...!!

3) the TA03 just kept going faster and faster (wow!) with that "mystery" Ozcharge motor... until a shocker dismantled itself.

and

4) had one of those serendipitous moments when the 04 suddenly became totally dialled running the new TakeOff tyres, and it was running On Rails! Wowee... we just kept going and going and going... until there wasn't enough light to see the car (even with fluoro yellow body).

Group picture??? Our cars outnumbered the people about 4 to 1... including your better half!!! []

Yeay yeah, the M03 still had heaps of battery left... but teh one I was using, was in danger of getting "rearranged"... got to learn to drive smooooooth... something about off-road style onroad...

So, you had a "Tree falling in the woods" moment with the 04? Lucky boy... [)]

Looking forward to the next one... that spot up on the hill is perfect for offroad and climbing/crawling... just got to have something better than a Hornet ie something that handles!!!

No fear. Total damage assessment... lost one M3 screw. And since that was from the roobar bumper ("not in manual"[}]) that don't count.

There are some nicer spots on the other side of the hill too, public park area. And maybe can avoid freq clash probs with the kiddies from the track too.

And by the time I found out about all this it had been and gone.....

You just didnt want to have to drive against ME in Mini's because you know you were dead meat boys.

And the Evo3 and 04-TRF would have been icing on the cake! Maybe even my optioned TA02 might have come off the shelf!

I don't think I had any problems with that Tony... for most of the time, I was driving a Cougar2 buggy with monster truck onroad tyres on the back... not bad acceleration, but absolutely no steering!!! Was understeering all over the shop... I suppose you get that when you run an offroad car onroad. Maybe next time I'll put in some planning.... then again, maybe next time we'll advertise this more than 24 hours ahead of time!!!! lol...

Would have been nice to catch up Tony... although I don't need to be reminded of Minis, my Dad still loves the one I gave him for Christmas so much that he won't let me have it back!!! []
