I wonder what his actual contribution will be? "Product Development Advisory Committee" Maybe we get JIS screws and snap rings on the next B7 iteration 😅

This is not the first time Masami worked with/for Team Associated. He was with AE back in the mid-late 80s. He drove for them and Yokomo.

Likely its just for his name so they can release a "Masami Edition" RC10 run of part of the current re-re's?

I'd probably buy one as I like the colour scheme.

A bit cynical but most likely true!

If they release anymore RC10s after this one...i may have to start a 2nd job or sell off some of my 401k

I am choosing to think big here, pic below is a screen grab from the RC10GT rerelease video.  There is a Worlds 91 (which is to me the most famous car never to see the light of day) partially assembled sitting on a shelf full of current and former rereleases.  I am already shopping my kidney to be prepared 🤣🤣

Great detective work...Masami's name on a never been released prototype could translate into a bunch of premium sales!  How much can I get for a lightly used, middle aged kidney?

It fascinating the mystique the Stealth cars have amongst our age-group. I'd certainly drool at the prospect of getting a replica but the price they could get for them (and certainly would ask for them) is likely out of my league. Interestingly, as successful as they were, the cars weren't all that good or rather, were too specialized for general release would be a better way to put it. They were whittling parts in Australia at the race trying to get the '89 cars dialed. The prototype for the '91 car worked well in testing but when Associated made multiples for the actual race, something, according to Cliff Lett, got lost in translation and they had to scramble to make it work. If we're guessing Masami's move may lead to a Stealth release, I'll play the super long guess that Tamiya might respond with a Dyna Storm re-re-release just as the Super Astute has quietly come back amidst the volley of RC10 re-releases we've been seeing. All conjecture for sure.;)

They need to go the Kyosho route and release a production version of prototypes that they were running around in the late 80s.  A real worlds car or the Detroit stealth car would be amazing.
