hello all

just wondering who is about and doing what in the Guildford area(UK - Surrey) 

I saw some guys had started a thread for a meet in this area but not sure how far that got - Guildford does have an RC racing club but that seems to be mainly Kamtec type of stuff and for serious racers - 

just looking drive to my cars/buggies / trucks - talk parts resourcing /fabricating

Hi there, don't live near but i would suggest trying to find a location for a informal meet and share far and wide, that's what we did for our group, we've been meeting up for a few years now every month.

I'm not a million miles from you, but my problem is all my rc stuff is buried in a lock up, right at the back! I am building a TT-02 Audi V8 at work, but as my lunchbreak is only 30 mins a day, it takes a while to get anything done! 

There was a thread with a proposed meet-up in the Epsom area soon, but nothing has happened as of yet to my knowledge

No, we haven't met up yet in the Epsom one, but still very keen to do so!

I'm based in Farnborough guys, what sort of meet up are you thing of? On road or off road?

to be honest - i dont think it matters at first ?

first - find somewhere decent to at least be able to run the cars without hindrance - if meeting outside - somewhere lit, near a cafe?

maybe we could get a hall for this weather? 

maybe get some idea of numbers first? take it from there?

I’m up for this any of the above locations would work with me.

I currently have 2 runners an XV01 and Blitzer Beetle, count me in for off road or on road 👍

Apologies for not replying sooner - sadly work is getting in the way of all the good things in life - 

But what we need is some ideas of starting meeting point - so...

• descent space to at least be able to run the cars (car park / warehouse type space) - best  case scenario is somewhere with some kind of shelter-  

1. i have buggies / road cars and a bruiser - in theory i can turn up anywhere and at least run something, but i think at first a smooth running surface is better than grass/ pebbly / offroad type stuff? 

• preferably somehwere close to cafe - 
• would say central to everyone interested - but dont think beggars can be choosers here 

 

I am not really from the guildford /surrey area- so am open to all suggestions and ideas
