BT-01? Surely you mean MB-01? :) (in the paragraph preceding the wheelbase chart, and in the wheelbase chart itself)

Great to have a guide - thanks!

Thank you for the work! A body I'm missing is the Mazda RX7 Savannah, I don't know the number out of my head.

Thank you! A real labour of love. Under the diagram showing the M-08 in its 3 wheelbases the last sentence misses an "is" between it and able I think.

Edit: I missed the fact the body's were mentioned in group according to their wheelbase... only excuse (apart from being an idiot) it's Monday?

Another helpful chart!

However, M-06/MF01X probably require some extra research, because some bodies marked as incompatible actually fit. In case of MF-01X, it can fit* surprisingly short bodies, including the original Mini. The motor itself isn't an issue, the "bumper" underneath is - the example is on photos below.

Same with the Yaris GR

Here are some other bodies I found on Facebook

Mazda 2, unfortunately I couldn't find a shot from the rear to see whether the bumper sticks out or not

Mazda MX-5 (it should also fit M-06)

Lotus Europa (couldn't find more detailed photo than this)

These are some I've seen and was able to find around Facebook groups. There are probably more bodies like this.

now off to play with my XM-01 pro :)

Looking forward to review.

It would be interesting to see a comparison to a modded MF-01X - within budget of an XM-01. I think it may not be as bad as the stock version.

Really good work!

Based on the Porsche Boxster (58197 M02L) and including the aforementioned body Tamiya-Carson released the Mercedes A-Klasse.

Does it count as a Tamiya Model? Well, at least the Tamiya Logo ist prominently placed on the box.

Nice overview of the M-chassis cars.

In my collection is the M-03 Mini RTR.

I was always convinced that Tamiya has two different bodies of the classic Mini. The body with the plastic parts and the Racing Mini without the plastic parts. Do you have information about this?

I don't have one, but the Citroën DS body seems to need a wider track width up front, not sure how well that works with the different M chassis. Has anybody plopped this one on something else than the MB-01?

There is also a 84267 Nissan Siliva S15 for 210 mm wheelbase.

And then there is the M-06 Lowrider Pumpkin - is that the only hardbody option for the M chassis?

Great listing. Really shows up some of the scale issues though.. +1 to Mr T getting back together with BMW, there are some great bodies that would sell like hot cakes, especially the Mini.

Just some suggestions, do with it whatever you want:

-Reading online I've gotten the impression the Porsche 959 and Toyota Celica Group B are roughly M-chassis size. Is it an idea to include them?

-Maybe include whether bodies are suitable for 60D tyres or not?

-Maybe include whether body sets are pre-drilled? I was disappointed when I found out the holes didn't match my M08 for example.
