Sure was a good weekend. The warmer weather of Sunday made the cold of Saturday worthwhile!!...LOL

It's always nice to put faces to names and actually talk to people face to face. Also nice to see so many cars "in the flesh" and being driven around. I'd never actually seen a Hilux being driven before so it was almost worth coming for that alone.[:D][:D]

Picked up some much needed parts to finish project and keep runners running, thanks to Chris and Evoman for there help.

[^][^]I think the funniest moment was when Leigh turned up and was almost mugged into selling stuff before he even got out of his car!!!...LOVL[^][^]

It certainly was a fantastic weekend. It was a shame the weather was so cold on Saturday, but Sunday made up for it...! If only the motorways went East-West and not North-South. Hiking over from Gloucestershire was some haul, especially with the wind and stuff bucking UKClaire's Jeep all over the place and our precious buggies all jiggling around in the back...! Monster Beetle was stood on the subwoofer peeking out the back window. Cool.

We stayed in a Hotel in Wymondham, about 10 mins up the road from the circuit. Not the cheapest place, but highly reccommended. Down to the Circuit Saturday morning and there were already a few cars out on the track. Shacked up in a Portakabin with Flyby and Netsmith amongst others. Got the runners and display models out for people to nose around and got some packs on charge.

Took time out to nose round the selection of Tamiyaclub shop stuff Netsmith had and wander round checking out other people's cars.

My runners over the weekend were my Thundershot with 16t motor and my Mudblaster/Blackfoot with 540 silver can. On Sunday I switched the motors so the Thundershot ran my new Trinity 11t dbl and the 16t went in the MB/BF. Thanks to Moosey giving me some supressors, the TS went like the proverbial off a teflon coated stick. Not as quick as the modern on road racers there, but it could go like Mr Tamiya NEVER intended...! The MB/BF was intent on destroying it's gearbox and after the final offroad race in which I lost out to Moosey's technigold Blackfoot and UKClaire's Silver can Monster Beetle partially through **** driving and uncharded batteries, it started clicking and stuff. Urk.

Before I forget, thanks to Twinset for the bearings sent through in super fast time for the event...!

Also, what a great on-road track...! Great layouts available but the jumps were a bit harsh...!

The offroad track was solid...! I wouldn't have drived a full size 4x4 on that...! Loads of hard concrete edges. Still the Blackfoot was OK.

I have got loads of pictures which I'll put up at some point soon (it's gonna take ages...!) and some movies too.

Unfortunately, the pics from Saturay are a little blurred because it was so dull. There are some goodies though - I promise...!

Thanks to Netsmith and Flyby for sorting it all out.

Had a great weekend, great to meet all the people I had got to know through the board, thanks to all involved in organising it - will have to do another one later in the year!

And a big thankyou to all who helped me keep my cars running, - especially to Alan for the parts he helped me out with[^][^]
