Ever closer to D-Day (where D is disappointment).

I'm increasingly thinking that the new announcements might just be the (already 'leaked') Bigwig and Honda City Turbo. I hope I'm wrong.

No exciting news has leaked,  no mysterious teasing videos... I looked again at the 2023 and 2024 new items (rereleases, new bodies, new chassis) from Tamiya and I'm afraid they spoiled us. We'll be disappointed when it's only the Bigwig and Honda City Turbo.

Tamiya needs a big release. Kyosho, AE, and Schumacher are hitting out home runs. Tamiya needs to rere the King can, OG Astute, Dyna Storm, and the 959.  Alas we will get some rebody TT01.Th3 excitement is gone. Miss the days of the Avante and Bruiser Rere announcements, we never thought they would do those. Was amazing. Now we just get reprints of the pass 10 years.

Watch, after all our pessimism, they'll surprise us with the hardbody Brat on a Super Champ chassis they intended way back when but never released. Come to think of it, looks like I just added one more to the "I'll have to build one of those someday" list.

Totally agree. We need a big one Tamiya. Not just another ABS wonder tubbed buggy.

I do hope they'll drop something with modern plastics. Maybe a new DN-01?

Yeah, another TT01, smh. Ive been a Tamiya nerd since I was 13 (1990).  AE, Yokomo, Schumacher, and Kyosho are helping us relive our childhood, Tamiya is making more TT01s and just putting out what they already made.  Sigh.  YZ10 for me this year or whatever crazy cr%p AE and Massami decide to do.

I vote the most likely outcome is something no one asked for- like the TA02 Hummer rebodied as a Cybertruck.

Only thing better would be to have this be a nitro kit!

Same here, I'd even consider buying it just to have something close to the old Formula 1 cars, but on a chassis that I can run on the street.

1 hour to go and finally some info:

From @kentech's  blog, thank you!

It definitely looks interesting. TRF F1 chassis out of nowhere after 7 years, "New" rally body, that's not bad. But I don't like Golf body on MB-01.. I hope It doesn't mean end of M-chassis rally releases.

Check Tamico's FB page if you have an account.

Looks like the Mini Cooper is back, and a new entry level "Fighter" in a BBX style on a new DT-04 chassis?

Mini Cooper on the MB-01 (rinse my mouth, blah), we'll see how well that body fits ... But still, yes to the Mini!

And a new DT-04 chassis - will be interesting - BBX parts plus old tub?

Will be interested to see what NXGEN Fighter is underneath, but it looks cool. Brilliantly tamiya.

I am an absolute suckered for the 306 Maxi, but as I already have one on my FF01-LA I won't be needing a BT01 version.

Now Tamiya has to make M07 210mm bathtub. Or M-09 concept? 😁

Anyway, looks like I'm rebuilding my MF-01X to 210mm 😁

Looks like they have got their BMW / Mini licence back! On the FB page there is a plaque next to the Cooper saying "Stay tuned for more BMW / Mini products coming soon"!

The red Golf GTI is the excuse I have been looking for to get myself a M07.

Some F1 blue bling too on a TRF104... interesting.

104 is a total surprise, no? Assume there’s no licensed body to go with it.

I guess the younger generation of Coopers are eventually coming, and probably the BMW E30 and who knows what from the back catalogue.

I missed out on the F1 being a TRF car - cool, but I assume expensive and one-run limited edition.
