After reading all the responses, I am leaning towards the 2024 Hot Shot II.

It has the classic look of the Hot Shot & all the components are updated.

I have to say df-01 for me, its fairly simple, it drives really lovely. Plush suspension. Manta ray or top force. Only downside is the manta ray can only take rounded tamiya stick packs. The manta ray has room for modern square packs. The tranny is fairly capable but struggles with high power in high traction.
