welp it goes without sayin that having a brain tumor removed is not fun. The surgery was Monday but I am home now but not without a shedload of pain. Acoustic nueroma was pressing on my pons and causing a ruckus. If I had known how much pain thin would be I would have waited at least the icu nurse were cool. Now I get to learn how to use my left eye and left hand again.. Cheerio

Thanks guys, this is without a doubt the hardest thing I've ever had to go through and trust me that list is long. The left side of my face looks like it is melting off and I am having troubles eating. Food keeps getting stuck in my left cheek like I am saving up for winter. I will spare you the rest but lemme tell you it sucks more than I thought it would. The upside is I am already able to walk without a walker although I don't get around with any grace what so ever. I did loose 10 lbs mainly because my diet has been liquid which runs out the left side of my face. Oxy too,, been taking oxy with a side of THC. I also have the peculiar little dots on my ankles and my forehead where they bolted me to the operating table for 7 hours....yes 7 hours.BUT at least I am tumor free or 5% free. They couldn't get it all because doing so would have damage my brain and ain't  nobody go time for that. If I were to recommend anything it would be to listen closely to your body. I had at best another year before that tumor could have killed me. It was large, 3.2 cm on the long axis which meant it was doing its thing in there since Friends first aired. But I have my rc project all sorted out. I just found a new in box Suzuki Swift Rally car body and I have a MB-01 that I am sorting out. The chassis and body seem to be a good fit for each other. so all in all I can't say I am doing too badly. Also I am probably the only jerk here with titanium plates in me noggin so that's kinda cool

Sorry to hear mate, that really sucks. It sounds like you were pretty brave going through the surgery though, well done, now you deserve all the rest you can get along with some miracle RC therapy. All the best wishes for a speedy recovery bud, get well soon.

2 months or so. I'm already walking better than before but my ear feels like they used a hand blender on it which issn't far from the truth. I have no more left eardrum. I'm just gonna point that side to my wife at all times to make it a benefit.

Sorry to hear that. I've lost a relative to a brain tumor last year so I know how destructive that can be. Good to hear they could remove it and I'll pray for your recovery.

Wow, that's tough.  I woke up feeling bad this morning that I had to pay for my own birthday meal out last night, so I'm now penniless until payday.  But that really puts it in perspective.

Been through this with my dad 30 years ago, the weeks after the surgery were tough, but the alternative would have sucked way more. And he's still alive and kicking today, so I wish you all the best for a full recovery!

Did you opt for the blue anodised ones?
