Weird things you find in second hand RC cars?

I bought a used F103 that had been driven on an abrasive surface with worn out front tires. The front of the chassis had been worn to a knife edge.

that is dedication, someone had a vision and ran with it.

@Escape Any idea what it was all for? Did any of it appear to serve a purpose, or was it purely aesthetic?

What was the pre-owner trying to do? Participate in the DARPA Grand Challenge? Either he hasn't taken enough or too much of his pills.

Pretty much reminds me of a scooter with sidecar I bought in 2014. Many similar "goodies" added. I had to replace the main wire harness completely.

But, I would say you're the clear winner of this thread. I cannot imagine that this homunculus RC can be topped in any manner.

@Escape Wow, mindblowing  it's got to be the weirdest RC thing I've ever seen. 

The car looks well used, as if the components actually served a purpose?? 

Any explanation on that would be appreciated 😅

To cool the ESC, the previous owner mounted a 280 motor with a fan, which required another ESC, upon which he mounted the second 280 motor with a fan, Plus the third 280 motor to cool the 540 motor...?

All that obsession with cooling made it heavy, which made it run hotter... lol...

Weirdest thing i've seen here for ages !!

Wow, this thing is really awesome. All that's missing is the OUTTATIME license plate. The choice of engine surprises me a little - I would have expected our legendary Conrad engine, which would have coped better with the extra weight and would have accelerated the thing to 88mph to travel into the future.

In my defense those were the wires from the ESC to the switch after I cut the switch off, and couldn't (yet) bother to properly solder them.

I've always had a soft spot for the Hor-Cha-Hop that Pintopower came across. There has been temptation on my part to replicate it, at least the rear. Sometimes I wish I had instead of getting an Evo. At least this thing has a wider rear track vs a wider front track.

Nice one @Saito2  I rate that, but I can’t get the 2001 with a HAM radio and Xmas tree lights out of my head just yet.
