As a matter of interest, who are the content creators everyone likes to follow. I particularly enjoy Tamiya Legends but think he has hung up his RC boots and taken a well earned break. Keen to see what I am missing.

Kisakanezawa, Mark Bryan Rc (and his friend who is often in his videos but cannot remember his name, Rob I think?) Tomley (when he does a Tamiya video), Pete Wylie RC and Addams Playground.

Edit: Rob Brennan RC, that's the guy who features in most of Mark Bryans videos.

I've seen a few bits of RCKicks videos and find them awful, never actually gone past the few minutes. Zero depth, clear bias and full of silly moments. @Siclick33 I would say that getting banned just means the channel has zero worth given the shady way that preorder appeared to be setup. If you need any particular info, I've found that general internet searching or asking the question here on TamiyaClub forum is the best way to go.

I need to check a few of them out. I do like Tomley.

One to add to your list is Kamata… lovely realistic driving, great comparisons between chassis, no loud talking!

Such a pity Matteo has retired.

Kai CIty RC, RC Retro, Guru's World, Popalong RC, QuietRC, RC Girl

Plenty of good content out there without the noise and drama.

Most people can't take a hit to their EGO....mostly because we identify who we are with it

People who have the strongest attachment to it are really the most dangerous type of people and at the same time the weakest people i know. They have so much to lose!

They are also mostly concerned of themselves and have very little curiosity to anything outside their little world and little brains

Quite RC is one of the few channels i actually look forward to watching...even though a lot of his interest aren't necessarily the same as mine. Just a dude enjoying the hobby and not doing things because of views

Mark Bryan RC, Poor Boys RC, Kai City RC, Addams Playground, RC Icons, Peter Wylie, RC So & So…. I am sure I am missing some.

Best ones are those that are just enjoying the hobby and vlogging their fun.

I got turned onto it by a friend I used to race with in my town who moved far away but now races with Rob of Quiet RC.  I think he had 10 subscribers at time or something.  His sense of humor is great, nice and witty.

I can't handle the hey guys I am so excited I pee'd my pants about this or that loud channels.  Or "this is my life's dream" to build a Hornet types.  I mean good for them but seems a bit dramatic.  Or the ones which appear filmed with a broken camera in a shed covered with dirt.  I am a discriminating content viewer :D

All of these. RC Retro, as others have said.
The one @Misterp180 missed was OAG. Can’t think why…

I’ve never heard of Quiet RC. I’ll check them out.

I also love a Wheelie Yellow video

RC kicks is really irritating, I can't stand the way he waves his hands around when he's talking.

He looks like an illiterate deaf person doing  sign language, I'm pretty sure I've told him this several times and I didn't get called a flat earther or anything, I'll have to go back and try again. Lol

RC Scotsman, used to be RCing around. (arseing around)

Try not to get personal or anything. I never insulted him or anything, there's no need for it in debates or arguments, that's when it makes you look bad and gives him a reason to put down Tamiya fans. Usually the other person resorts to insults when they know they've lost 😅

You know, again like I said, we started having a debate about the BT-01, and I couldn't quite see his point when he contradicted himself in the same sentence, about how he said no RC channels are told what to say in sponsored videos, but then he said he himself had been asked once (and other channels have said in the past yes, we are given a rough guideline of things to say as we are essentially making a paid advertisement), but i think he misread it or misconstrued what I was saying when I said "so you never get told what to say, but you have said you were once told what to say".  He thought i was saying every single one of his videos he was being told what to say, such as when he made a series about never racing a Tamiya, he said why would Tamiya pay me to say that...then he called me a Flat Earther, as he thought i was making up conspiracy theories I guess...?  😅 Again I am sure I didn't insult him or anything! If i did, and I am sure he will be reading this topic at some point, i am sorry if I did offend you at all! I just pointed out that he was contradicting himself and that seemed to trigger a fairly defensive response. A moderator on the page then said i was out of order for arguing with him (only i was out of order, not the person making the insults😅) and then I was removed from said page.

That's the point where you just need to disconnect and think, you know what, we're never gonna see eye to eye or understand each other through social media. Maybe in person where you can understand the tone more of what someone else is saying, but at that point when the put downs come out its like yep okay, whatever 😅 We're arguing about RC Cars, like wow it's time for us to unplug you know 😅

He is happy making his content, that's great you know, well done to him. We are happy with our Tamiya's and our dedication to the brand. That's how it should stay and be!

I do quite like Tomley.

Scale builders guild is nice watching too, I just find the presenter engaging.

I actually think that Kevin Talbot is very good at what he does, it's just the content and style are not for me all the time, but hats off, he does what he does well.

Oh I find that our very own Ampro engineering is also very well done. Great voice, content and that good blend of personality and storytelling without it detracting from the content.

Full disclosure - I'm an RCKicks Patreon. I have no other association to the channel and am in no way a spokesperson for the channel. I do race with Gavin occasionally - mine is "the other Durga" he runs up against in his DB01 race series.

I've had a word with Gavin about this ban and it has been lifted. I don't know and don't want to know any of the details about what was said. In general, we all have to be mindful of and respectful to all participants of this amazing yet niche hobby, be it consumers, retailers or content providers of all forms.

Without speaking on behalf of Gavin, please do know that he really does love Tamiya cars and is a joyful as the rest of us for ones that work and as disappointed for the the ones that don't. Be assured he'll be straight on the bandwagon for any of the potential anniversary rereleases we've been waiting for and that they'd take pride of place in the studio. His channel wouldn't be successful without the support of those who subscribe and watch his content. The same can be said for all of the other great content providers we are fortunate to be able to choose between.

Like all social platforms, I am sure he started out with being passionate about the content he was creating.  Once the $ started rolling in and sponsors started to him with product, the passion went out the window and turned into a money grab.  Like many I no longer watch his content and am no longer amused by his channel.  The fact that he or his people are thin skinned and banned you makes it far worse.  Time to cancel and move on.

@naturbo2000 Thanks for your help. I’m glad to have got this resolved and keen to put it behind me.

I had already asked for this thread to be closed as I have made my frustration known and I don’t see the need to prolong this any further.

I will be more careful what I say in the future though! It’s just RC cars after all.

You shouldn't have to be, as long as it's not personal insults or anything, it's just RC cars after all.

Not the most ardent fan of Rc YouTube unless it’s live race streams.

There are some good ones already mentioned,  Nani RC is superb, as is Rex rc’s. Most of the Japanese ones are decent.. ai autodubbing will make them even more watchable.

As a rule though I like details not fluff. So blogs and forums are better for that. It’s also two way as people help each other.

I like Addams Playground, RCretro and poor boys rc. Oh and mechanic after hours. He hasn't done much lately. Tho. His subtle modifications make any Tamiya into a pure masterpiece.

Personally, I find that many channels yapping too much, be it RC Kicks or even some of the recommended channels here. I want to know about the kit/car, not listen to irrelevant nonsense, like the weather or whatever. The worst is a channel that I will not name where it sounds just like 2 boyfriends yapping away endlessly. Being a static modeller, I really like those channels that do not show the person at all, just speech, or, the best are no speech at all when a technique is demonstrated. Some screen over text to let me know the details will be enough. No arms flapping to annoy me.

People with lack of selfconfidence and a permanent need of attention doing usually really funny things on social media. No matter which content/topic they follow.

@Siclick33 You did not got banned, you got awarded.
