West Coast Tamiya Meet?

Hi,

Just wondering if there are any members from the west country (England), or thinking about it anywhere, who would like to have a get together in Summer 2004. The Venue I have in mind is Brean Sands (Between Weston-Super-Mare and Burnham-On-Sea). You can Park your 1:1 car on the beach and there's miles ands miles of hard packed sand as well as sand dunes.

I took my Rough Rider there last year and my step-daughter used a Super Hornet and believe me, the day went so quick.

Since there are Large sand Dunes there we could have competitions for the Clods/Blackfoots etc to go around a set course marked out with 'Gates' - makes a differance from normal racing!!

I know Summer is a long way off, so I will repost this topic sometime in March

It's about 130 miles for me, but then again Clumber is 190 and Snetterton is 150! Guess it's the closest yet, so I'd be interested. I'm told by my Mum that I spent a family holiday at Brean in 1966, so it would be cool to go back after all these years [8D] I'll just have to get the 'off-roaders' up together over the winter so we've got something to run (I don't think Mini's would take to the sand too well [] ). Just need to convince the kids now...
