Considering I'll randomly fall in love and flash purchase probably another dozen 'somethings' throughout the year, the final official and deliberate 'shopping list' (to go) this year

I’ve already bought a Grand Hauler (not on 2025 list), Rc10 Masters (not on 2025 list), box trailer (not on 2025 list).  I’m planning on the Dynahead and the Honda City Turbo for my original 2025 list.

Since Tuesday it's the new Asso RC10 Brian Kinwald edition. Such a nice car. 

But in the end I will be to thrifty to buy it only for the showroom.

Other than odds and ends to complete projects/restos, hopefully nothing. Of course if Tamiya surprises us with a 959, Falcon or King Cab re-release, I might have to reconsider, but I'm trying real hard to slowly close the door on the acquisition phase.

Konghead for me, already have a Squashvan to build, will part with one of my Clods to get a Konghead then thatl be it for buys, I will focus on what I have and do those up/build.

Almost the same here. I was sitting on the fence last year, before getting the 60th Anniversary Optima Mid. What I really wanted was a LWB Optima Mid,  but it's a bit flashy to get the Optima I got and then get an Exo conversion. The Optima Pro is tempting as well, but du I want yet another belt drive...?

 

I got the Lapmonitor today and a package from Plaza with the last parts I wanted for the Optima Mid,  apart from an Optima belt. If the funds allow it I am seriously considering an M-07R and joining the M-chassis racing community here. But we'll see.

What about swapping in the chain drive? I have seen a few chain driven Javelin’s on YouTube and they sound amazing. Almost making me go 4WD which is normally a big no no for me.

@njmlondon Hehe. You say something there. But I remember a mate's Marui Samurai when we were young. All that hassle with the chain that went off and jammed is nothing I am tempted to repeat. Thet 60th Anniversary is probably gonna be the one Optima I will get. It's simply too much money that I now want to spend on onenof my 1:1 Golf MK1 instead.

My shopping list at the beginning of this year has zero RC10’s in it but the discovery of FanRC and all the amazing bitsa / hybrid builds that the RC10 lead to have sucked me into that world. 

I’ll be back in the warm cuddly Tamiya world soon with a Scorcher, potentially the new Knight Customs Baja which is amazing…

I guess the Manta Ray was Christmas, so that was last year...  This year it is a Hornet EVO & a Futaba FX-10 restoration so far.  I have tried to keep it to two kits/year, so that is it.  I should really sell my TD2 - I put it together but barely drove it.
