I've spent some time re-building the original GH II and since the rims and tyres are too old and hard to use, I just put the Brat combo on there, with a place holder body. I like the rear tyres, but need something narrow up front. Would the Fighting Buggy/Buggy Champ tyres fit on Sand Scorcher rims? I like the four-bolt pattern on the Brat rims and would prefer keeping that but there isn't anything else like this in a narrow version as far as I can see.

Unfortunately no; for some reason Tamiya decided to make the Brat/F150 and Rough Rider/Buggy Champ/FAV wheels one size, and the Scorcher/Grasshopper/Hornet/Frog wheels slightly smaller, so tires are not interchangeable. The only narrow 8-spoke wheels I can think of are the Grasshopper II/Striker/Falcon style, but they're bigger in diameter and need to use different tires as well.

You can swap wheel/tire combos around between Tamiya buggies to your heart's content, with the right adapters, but you usually have to keep the tires mated to the wheels they were made for. I know, it's frustrating.

If you have access to a 3D printer, there are some different styles of wheels you can print to fit various Tamiya tires. My Grasshopper II currently wears a set of these, with re-re Buggy Champ tires:

Abba-zabba ... too bad. I like the Brat combo, except the fact that you get wider up front than at the rear. Next option would be the Sand Scorcher combo but I am not sure how that would look.

Might have to go with the Wild One combo. Or some odd junkyard mix.

If not the WO wheels I would just order a set of JC Racing WO or Ultima Pepper Pots and put Schumacher Mini Spikes on them (soft inserts rear and nothing in the front). Costy,  maybe,  but this can be swapped around to other buggies. With the 380 you will have tires halfway to retirement,  as long as you only run on the loose stuff. All can conveniently beeing sourced at Tamico.

My first choice would be Kyosho Turbo Scorpion wheels with said tyres, but I cannot find them at Tamico ATM. The front wheels are wider, so the 4WD front tyres fit nicely.

BTW I have seen Hotshot rear tyres on 2,2 wheels. That could also be an option rear. Check out the Martini Boomer inthe showrom of Juhinio.
