this is looking bad each day [:(] but I might not be going to snett I'm hoping to turn up on the day but looking at it don't think I'll be there this year [:(][:(]

I'd like to know when is there going to be a meet more central [?] and I know I'm not the only one here that wants to know this

also is this the official Tamiya club meet? (and will it be the location for next year and future events) as I am sure I remember Chris saying last year the next meet would be more central as snett is a bit far for some members to get to

it was fun last year but there must be somewhere else we can meet up and race 'n' trade

To be honest Barry I couldn't say. It depends an awful lot on the people on the ground in those areas. I do my best to find venues - must have sent out over 20 enquiries this year, and the only ones that responded in anyway positive where based down south.

When you factor in the requirement re-camping, car parking, private areas etc it gets less and less.

If anyone wants to start talks with any other venue I'd be happy to pick it up with them.

The events so far have happened because members have proactive helped out with the donkey work, in the first year it was Flyby (what ever happened to him) and myself, this year Mark and Rich have taken on the chore. If others want to find venues and help run them in different areas that would be great.

Shen, Paul (Purplebugsy) was the one to start Snetterton off this year. We had such a good time last year, We thought 'sod it'! Let's do it again![:D]

Unfortunately NO, It's not the best venue. But, if no one wants to take on the job of arranging these events, Nothing would happen!

Find somewhere & do it!!

Chris does a top job, But ya can't expect him to do it all. He's a busy fella & wants to play himself [;)]

What I mean is, Everyone seems to expect someone else to sort these events & that's the problem.

Me & Paul are now seeing how much work is involved in putting these events together. With the help of Chris & a few others it makes life a lot easier.

But, It's a fantastic feeling knowing your giving people something ace to look forward to! [:D]

We don't exactly live near Snett either. Yorkshire lads! [;)]

Hope ya can make it [;)]

I hope you can get down there to Snet too Barry. At least you have the motorway - M6 right down to Northamptonshire - Claire and I will see just over 6 miles of motorway on our entire journey...!

Yeah, what happened to flyby...? He was a nice chap.

Hi Shen [:)]

If you can't make if for Snetterton this time round? what about going the Model Activ show two weeks later [:D]

it's centrally located in mid warwickshire not far from where I live in Leamington Spa, Coventry and Banbury are also quite close, it's got fairly close links to the M6, M1 and M40 motorways and although it's going to be a restrained display of our new build cars more than anything, there will also be the chance to do some indoor vintage demostration racing as well, no to mention a battle arena for the Tanks and the 1:14th scale Lorries as well, I'm trying to get together a disply of the first 100 Tamiys cars, it's a tall order I know but any help I can get with it would be greatly appreciated [;)]

also in helping out behind the stand there is a chance that you could get some interest from the general public who'll be visiting, and maybe even so offers to buy up some old cars that they have at home in their attics, when me and my Friend Richard did a display at the the NAC Toy Fair 2 just over a year ago, we got quite a few good offers, from one of these I got a MIB Sand Rover for £80 and a used Sand Scorcher kit for another £60, there will probaly be a limit to the number of ppl who can actually help behind the tables but other memebers could bring in certain cars to race I'm sure, still there is a lot of planning to do yet, contact me if your interested in coming and I can send you some more details [:)]

i agree and have seen this happen you sit round a table and say lets do this and nothing gets done [V]

i'm not having a go at anyone over the venue (if it seems if i am) it's good to get events as it brings us all together to race, trade, sell & buy all i was saying was i thought we where going to move around the country for these events.

so now everyone knows they have jobs to do [;)] thats to find a location to meet up to race on & off road and where we can stay whether it a B&B, Hotel or caravan / campsite and not be hasseld by anyone snett is the ideal location so now you know what to look for i know it not an easy job but there are ppl out there that race one or more times a week that might be able to find a good location, i'll be looking to find somewhere now and i'm trying to find a way to get to snett as i've just took on another GSD (German Shepard Dog) so have 2 puppys to deal with [8)] and now think one of my cats is pregnant [8)] so its never ending lol

i'll need a post code for snett so i can do a new map route anyone help? and hope i can make it [;)][:I]
