Slayer don't worry about the first meet (my first meet was at Clumber Park and didn't talk much either) you'll find lots of helpful ppl there if you get stuck with anything you'll find your among friends.

I got to know most of the members I talk to most at the 2nd meet (Snett) also if you brake any parts while running your cars 9 times out of 10 some one there will have spares

best to find out how many ppl have the parts you need and at what price as you'll know some ppl want more money than others your best bet is to see Chris (Netsmith) first as he has lots of spares (unless he's sold them )

don't worry about charging batteries as you'll find some members will charge them for you (I charged all my batteries in my car on my way to snett)

as for food there right no food on Saturday but plenty on Sunday if the markets on

tip's

1) take a flask of tea/coffee with you make it at the hotel in the morning

2) stop at a shop/garage buy some crisp, sandwich's, any snack food and cold drinks + sweets

3) at snett lookout for good trades/stuff for sale this is not eBay and stuff sells fast (if it's wanted) [:0]oops did I say @ snett I mean the hotel [:o)]

Just a general remark, wouldn't recommend that with a delta peak charger, as due to fluctuations of the car battery voltage during the drive, the charger will false shut off much ealier, could work though with an old timer charger.

From last year at Snetterton (which was my first meet) I learend that you need the following (in no particular order):

-A coat

-3 jumpers (to be warn at same time!!!)

-Extra thick wind proof trousers

-Extra thick gloves

-Food

-Warm drinks

-A laid back attitude (needed for when other people are using the same frequency off track whilst you are racing on track as you car hurtles into the side and smashes the front end up)

-Cash and plenty of it

-Stuff you want to sell/trade

Oh and some cars to run might be good too.

Like to restate an earlier comment. Bring plenty of warm clothing, the forecast for the weekend is COLD.

T-Bone steak with A-1 sause. So far this week at Lakenheath, the tempature has been 24 degrees on Monday and 27 on Tuesday and 27 this morning so the touring cars and the 80's buggies won't have to worry about heating up hehehe. I might end up bringing my charcoal grill since the BX is out of the grill I wanted. I hope they get them before Thursday or Friday.[:(]

According to information received from The Met Office the weekends weather forecast is:

SATURDAY 6th

Partly Cloudy

0 to 7 Degrees Centigrade

10% chance of rain

U.V Index 2(minimal)

Wind NNE @ 11mph

SUNDAY 7th

Sunny

-1 to 8 Degrees Centigrade

20% chance of rain

U.V Index 2(minimal)

Wind NE @ 3mph

So by the looks of it the weather should be good but a bit chilly!!

I will round up some grass outback by where the cars park, fry it up before I cook the meat, slap some cheese on it and there you go!
