As no-one answered me directly i will try here [;)] what do i need to bring to Snett??? Cars - yup, Me - yup, should i bring a garden chair and a little fold-up table, or is that all done indoors (hoping) havent been to a meet before [:(] so not realy sure...

There are two or three empty portacabins at snetterton, think there are some electric pionts in them as well but not sure on that one. They filled up very quickly last year, so you'll have to be early, or just push your way in.

A fold up picnic table is ideal, you can get one with the four fold out seats for around £20.00, this is what everyone seems to use at club meetings.

How many points - surely we have to have electric to recharge batteries [:(] If i bring an extension cable as well will that let me in [;)] i can share sockets snarf, snarf....

Not to put a to finer point on it, you are very lucky to have mains for charging at an outdoor track, most expect you to bring a 12v to charge from. Yes there are 2 portacabins with mains, But bring a table to work off of and something to sit on, and plenty of warm clothing, Snett. get "B" cold at this time of year.

I'll be bringing a mains extension lead and multiplug as well as 12v for backup. Plenty of warm clothes and a seat to park your bum on and you'll be sorted.

If you're planning on crashing your cars or need an area to work on, bring a picnic table and a tea-tray or something to hold all the bits so they don't roll away. If they fall on the grass it's impossible to find them...!

Claire and I will be bringing PMR446 walkie talkies as well (10-4 rubber duck etc)

On the tech side, I'll have Laptop PC, Digital Stills, and MiniDV. Oh, and my PDA with satellite navigation to get me there on time...! [8D]

blimey wireless - got any room for cars [;)]

i havent got a 12v battery, no room at home for storage as it is [:(] so i hope i can get access to a mains point.... cold! dont like the sound of that [xx(]

You'll be fine Carolyn. There's loads of camaraderie at these events with everyone helping out each other so you'll never be short of anything be it a couple of M3x10's or a brew...!

Heh heh, yeah, just 4 cars with us this year and with just 2 of us in the Civic, room to spare.

I'm hoping to reel out mains from a 'kabin to the car where I'll be able to supply a few others nearby. This will stop the overcrowding in the 'kabins like we had last year with everyone trying to get at mains points. I can pull 13A down the line and chargers take very little so plenty of power for everyone out by my car.

The 12v is just for backup. Luckily I work with a company that make remote control golf caddies so we always have loads of 12v gel cells knocking about. You can always charge off your car's 12v battery - just fire it up for 10 mins every other charge to make sure it doesn't go flat. Provided your charger takes 12v as well as mains of course...!

Claire and I will be at the Breckland Friday and Saturday. Head for the two northerners getting slowly inebriated at the bar, pull up a pew and get boozing...! I think I'll bring my I-Racer's too for some bar-top fun...!

I reckon Jon (SMCC) might have summat to say if we started charging...! I expect Paul and Mark could do a blinder selling bacon butties out the caravan...!

Claire and I are in the Silver Type-R (see : http://www.tamiyaclub.com/showroom_model.a...id=12684&id=380 )

Just had a thought 5 days to go the 959 is only 3/4 built and no shell even cut out [xx(] I have the old shell still but it's trashed to bits.... the Titanic Blitzer is built but has only primer on it and as for the Blackfoot X - still in the *******in box [:(][:(] same goes for the Dyna Breeze!!! looks like Willy, Brick, Min, and FB RX only then - oooerr

Sounds like you have enough buggies with the four that work. I'm bringing two (350Z and King Blackfoot) and Claire's bringing two also(Taisan GT2 and Monster Beetle). You're not going to run the 959 with a new shell are you. One impact and they're wrecked usually. The aftermarket ones are thicker and tougher plus cheaper to replace...!

OK so i will be the fat fluffy haired one in the corner dribbling and muttering to myself about Porsche Dampers GRRRRR... so i will look out for you an Claire [8D] Bacon Butties [:P][:P] will there be someone there with a Barbie flogging food etc... now you know why i said fat [;)]

There's water available so I'd bring a kettle, cup and teabags - we've got mains remember...!

Regards impact - yes, just that. There's no way you can survive a few laps of Snet without at least one little hiccup, especially with a 959 which are so flippin' quick.

Kettle - noted [:P] not sure i i have an extension long enough to reach the kabins tho... what about a fan heater [:P]

My poor little baby is gonna get smashed up [:(]

Dive in the cabin, boil the kettle and dump water in Thermos. Job done. A fan heater is pushing it a bit I expect...!

If you are at all worried about bashing a car don't run it because invariably the unpredictable will occur...!

There's no way I will run anything apart from my usual runners.

Heaters are definately outid="red">, they take too much current and the electrics trip out for everyone. We then have to track down unhappy snett officials (not you jon [;)] - btw will you be wearing your tamiyaclub tshirt for the day?) and no one can charge anything until we do.

Its like most things at the venue, if we all treat the resources sensibly everythings fine, if we start running extensions off extensions with 10 things plugged into one out let - its less fine.

On the other points - Warm clothes are a must. I cannot begin to explain how cold it was last year. I lost three toes to frost bite on the first day and had symptoms of Hyperthermia(?) overnight.

That said the second day was great, you wouldn't have believed it was the same weekend. Some people actually wore their Tshirts!

Plus bring lots of food. Pot noodles, mar bars, crisps - all the great tasty stuff you are not allowed to eat when you are at home [;)]

id="quote">id="quote">Don't worry Slayer, we will be at the Breckland Friday too, and I'm sure it will be easy to get on with everyone. I think that most of the people in the hotel will be Tamiya club members, so we've all got something in common to talk about. I'll be the one moaning at my lads and/or standing in the corner or outside smoking a woodbine, depending on the smoking rules [}:)], so if you see me come and say hello.

Chris, I've got a Tamiya Eurocup European Finals Official Shirt if thats any good, unless of course some kind person supplies me with one.
